Turtle Beach Ear Force XL1 Amplified Wired Headset with Mic (White) - Xbox 360

I run Xbox 360 audio through my stero system and use headphones all the time. When my amp went out, I still wanted to use headphones (keeps me from annoying others :) but didn't want to shell out big $$ for a new amp just yet. So I decided to try an inexpensive pair of Turtle Beach headphones.WOW! I could not believe the difference! I was hoping for close to the same quality of my high end stereo/headphone combination, but the "cheap" Turtle Beach XL1's blew it away! I was hearing sounds in the game that I didn't even know were there! Background ambience, footsteps (HUGE advantage in on-line competition), lots of sounds that went either unheard or unnoticed before.I really wanted to get a more expensive set with the built in Surround Sound, and I still may in the future, but I am VERY impressed with the quality of the XL1.These not only sound great, but are very comfortable as well. The cloth ear pieces are so much better than the vinyl covered ones I used to use. And the integrated chat microphone works better than any other I've used in the past as well.I highly recommend these, or any other TB product (my son has a set of the DX12's which he loves as well). Great product for the price, completely satisfied.

I got these as a gift for my fiance for his birthday. He absolutely loves them. The sound is great and it makes it easier to play games at night when you want the tv volume to be lower since he can turn the headset volume up. There are seperate volume controls for chat and for the game so you can turn each one up or down as you need to. The only problem he had was the cord that connects the headset to the controller is not labeled which end goes in which device and when it is backwards you can't be heard in chat. I am planning to purchase another pair for myself. The other reviews that complain about these being made cheaply and breaking easily are probably from people who do not take care of electronics. These will break if you are overly rough on them just as any headset will. If you want them to last for a long time then you need to treat them carefully and not throw them about.

It is great, no issues and brand new too. However, It came in white but because it was coming in from a very far place, it seemed very hard to send it back (in context, I am in the US and it came from the Netherlands). But overall as expected, works great with the original Xbox and Insignia Xbox Live Service.

This headset is a great headset, however its durability over time wavers. When I first got it and began using it, I was blown away at the quality of the sound. You can hear footsteps in games like you're there and even hear dirt trickling down walls in Skyrim with crystal clear clarity. The sound is literally amazing for the low price. The voice pickup is outstanding to the point of almost too much. Friends online can hear everything going on in the background, from my wife talking in the room next door to even farts! That's how sensitive this mic is! Over time, however, the structure of the headset began failing me. After a month or two, the left earpeice begain falling down the "clicker" where you can adjust the height so that I have to constantly adjust my height. The headset is very light and a bit shaky, probably due to its budget design.Finally, after 6 months, I can no longer use the headset. The left speaker began shorting out, fading in and out. I used to could adjust the cord and it would work some more, but now the left speaker is completely gone. What use is covering both ears for sound if one ear isn't going to hear anything? I will be buying a new headset now. That being said, I like turtle beach but I'm not buying another one of these just to break again. I will give the $50 x-12 a shot and if it breaks in the time frame this one did, I'll be done with turtle beach. But for now, very impressive headset sound quality, disappointing structural quality.

I love them. They are resilient, go around the ear (instead of on) and thus are comfortable. The mic swiveled easily, but has that swivel/click type, so its easy to move, but wont fall down if you have it moved up to your eye/forehead (if you need to quickly not have someone hear you). The talk-back feature? You can barely notice it, which is good. I was afraid it would be much louder than the players n the other end or have a weird lag, but in fact, its pretty nice. You can barely notice it. The ones that I got in my box were white (it seems the image for them has changed, maybe they updated it) by ordering from here, while my boyfriend managed to get a black/green pair from a local Wal-mart. (My personal preference would prefer the black, but its okay).The cord is nice and thick, so animals don't really want to chew on it, and the length is plenty long enough.The only problem I have with it is that it seems to make farty noises to others when I have the rumble feature on my controller turned on. I have an afterglow wired controller. Anytime the rumble activates, it goes "Pbbrtt!" to whoever Im talking to, regardless of if I am actually talking or not. This I fixed by going into my Xbox preferences/profile settings and turning off the Vibration effect, but it is a bit saddening to have to do so all the time. Just be aware if you like feeling the controllers effects and youre talking, others are gonna hear a pbbbft. Its actually rather amusing though, and somewhat useful in multiplayer team games :)

Hallo alle Miteinander,Das Headset ist einfach toll, das Mikrofon nicht so... das ist wirklich mäßig... aber das ist mir egal, ich benutze ohnehin ein Großmembran Mikrofon.Für mich war wichtig bei meinem neuen Headset, es muss diesmal eine Stoffmuschel für meine Ohren sein. Aus dem ganz einfachen Grund heraus, dass ich das Kunstleder satt war. Man schwitzt viel am Ohr, es löst sich dann irgendwann ab und fläddert ständig in den Haaren rum und am Gesicht sowie am Schreibtisch... darauf hatte ich keinen Bock mehr. Auch war mir wichtig das mein neues Headset leicht ist. Beides bekam ich bei dem Ear Force XL1Es ist angenehm zu tragen, die Einstellungsgrade für die Höhe und Breite halten, das Stoffnetz an den Ohrmuscheln ist die beste Entscheidung meines Lebens gewesen, einfach Grandios! Weich, Atmungsaktiv. Das Headset drückt nicht und der Klang ist mehr als ausreichend für den Gamingbereich.Ich benutze das Headset für den PC, dafür brauchte ich ein paar Adapter damit das klappt, aber den Aufwand war es wer, bin sehr zufrieden mit diesem Produkt, hab das Headset nun seit etwa 2 Jahren.

Non sono compatibili ma le dovete adattare per farle funzionare su PS3.Se le usate su Xbox360, XboxOne o PS4 non c'è bisogno di adattarle perchè c'è un cavo audio che va collegato al controller.Siccome sul controller della PS3 non c'è un ingresso audio jack 2,5 ho comprato un cavo audio da 3 metri e l'ho collegato alla PS3 tramite una scheda audio esterna USB pagata 4€. Mi sono bastati 10€ per adattarla alla PS3.Le cuffie sono uno spettacolo quando giochi sembra di essere al cinema, ha dei bassi eccezionali, le esplosioni e i colpi di pistola, mitra, fucili sembra che stai sparando veramente.Il microfono è eccezionale si sente benissimo e non c'è bisogno di strillare anche il microfono lontano dalla bocca.La qualità rapportata al prezzo è più che eccezionale sarebbe da comprarne un treno di queste cuffie.

The sound aspect of this headset is great. It creates a totally different gaming experience being able to hear slight noises that would have never been possible just by listening through TV speakers.The mic however isn't that great and sometimes sounds muffled when spoken into but it does have the option to mute it which is very helpful. Along with the ability to mute the mic it has the option to adjust the 'game' and 'chat' volumes separately, its great when you don't want to hear people whining and just want to hear the sound of the game.The headphones are very comfortable and aren't that heavy so when you lean your head forward they feel secure.I would recommend these to the novice-intermediate gamers, the real hardcore gamers I would definitely say go for the newer turtle beaches as they do provide a superior sound quality and mic quality compared to these.Overall it's a good buy and good value for money, it does the job and makes gaming more fun.
