No, this tea isn’t purple after brewing. It’s a light green. Still taste great though!

How many teabags to make a pitcher of cold tea?

Hello! We recommend using 1 sachet per expected 8oz of iced tea. So, if you are using a quart sized container (32oz), use 4 sachets. Cheers!

I usually make a 3 cup pot with 2 twinings tea bags. would i need 1 or 2 smith tea bags for a 3 cup pot?

I use one tea bag for 2 quart bottles of tea. If you pour your hotwater (190 degrees) over the tea bag, make sure it only steeps for 3 minutes, it has a wonderful flavor. Then add 190 degree water over the same tea bag and let it steep for 3 mins..... Repeat up....It is such a light delicate flavor. Enjoy!
