Just perfect and simple!
I was a little skeptical about using a piercing kit on my nose! When I was much younger I had worked at Claire's for nearly 5 years and I pierced A LOT of ears back then so I figured surely the nose isn't much different, especially since these piercing kits are very similar to what all Claire's employees use everyday with the only difference being their's is a piercing gun but the action is the same- push the device together quickly and squeeze pretty hard!Getting the nerve up to actually push the nose ring through was the worst part of the piercing. The anticipation is awful... I was a little worried bc I had read some of the reviews from people that couldn't get the post all the way through their nose. I didn't have any trouble at all. I cleaned my nose, took forever to mark the perfect spot, and then stood in front of the mirror for ten minutes with the device in my nose while repeatedly telling myself to just do it! My only complaint about the kit is that it's a bit big and slightly uncomfortable for the nostril. I had to cram it up my nose and pierce it at an angle with the stud sitting at a slant. I wish I would've pierced the stud a bit lower on my nostril and a tad more towards the tip of my nose but I'm still really happy with it. I did Google the best position for a nose piercing ahead of time and it says to pierce on the thinnest part of the nose which is on the crease but I pierced mine slightly under where it creases.. if I would've pierced it lower and more towards the front of my nose it would've been right in the crease, but the reason I chose to put it further back is bc if I end up wearing a hoop in it I didn't want the hoop to be sitting towards the front of my nostril instead of kinda to the side. When I finally got my nerve up to actually push the stud through it was really easy. I used both thumbs, one on top of the other, to push it hard. I tried to squeeze as hard and as fast as I could. I didn't want to only get it half way through and have to do it again. The stud popped right through, the plastic pieces released from around the stud, and I just pulled the device away from my nose. That was it. I had pushed it through so quickly that there wasn't time to have any pain. It was literally like a tiny pinch.. it didn't hurt. A pimple on the nose hurts ten times worse! There was no bleeding either. Also, very minimal swelling. The best advice I can give is to buy some Bactine spray ahead of time and spray it on afterwards every 4-6 hours, it instantly takes away any pain you may have. I sprayed my nose directly after I finished the piercing and I'm so glad I did bc about 20 minutes afterwards my nose itched and I completely forgot about the stud... I rubbed my finger right over my new piercing, I had rammed my finger right into the stud and pulled downward.. OUCH!! With a little more Bactine spray it numbed it right up, but the force of rubbing my nose and new piercing did make it bleed just a tiny amount around the hole, it didn't drip blood or anything, I could just see the dried red crust later on. I'm writing this review the very next day after doing the piercing and the pictures are from today too, this is what it looks like less than 24 hours later. Still very little swelling and a little redness which was made worse from trying to rub it without thinking. The only other thing to mention is the point on the stud is a little sharp on the inside of the nose, every now and then I just use the top of my finger nails and pull up on the stud so the point isn't trying to scratch the inside of my nose. I feel like when it comes time to change the stud, it's gonna be a little tight getting it out but I read someone's advice that said to take a shower and then change the stud after you get out so the skin is soft and the stud will be easier to pull through.I hope this helps some of you that are trying to decide on doing it yourself. I absolutely love it and I'm so happy I did it! Just make sure you really think about WHERE you want the stud placed on your nose before putting it in. I definitely recommend these piercing kits. Good luck!

Disposable piercing kit
I used this to pierce myself it was very simple to use. The jewelry is too small, the diamond should be a little bigger in my opinion. But it’s good quality and they’re cheap and disposable. It stings when it goes through but afterwards as long as you clean the area you should be fine.

Easier and less pain than going to the parlor
This item is as described and was so easy to use. There was just a little sting but that is it, better than when I went to a parlor to get it done the first time. I definitely recommend
