AC leak detection
One must purchase the correct tools to do the dye injection and leak detection of AC units. The kit I purchased contained a tool to inject the dye, a detection light and freon sniffing tool. I injected 1 ounce of the dye into the system and charged the unit enough to make my compressor turn on. The dye showed under the detection flashlight at the rear of the compressor. I evacuated the freon and replaced 2 o rings at the hose block on the rear of the compressor. I then weighed a charge back into the system. The dye worked as advertised and glowed under the detection light.

Easy leak finder
You can pretty much see this stuff without a UV light. Works great.

I’ve been using another brand that costs about $180 and let’s me put dye in ≈ 32 vehicles but have been unable to source if for the last couple of months. Was hesitant to purchase this but I’m glad I did. I can usually see this dye without reaching for a UV light.
