I compared a lot of these & came up with this beauty as the best of them. Love it. No problems. I peeled off the protective paper with writing on it & thought I was sent the wrong item as it was milky & not clear. I realized it has a sheet on BOTH sides you remove. Voila. Beautiful crystal clear like a sheet of glass, but not glass. Ships in sturdy flat cardboard. Not rolled up. Perfect. Its shiny & in my peripheral vision sometimes I think my floor flooded.. lol. It's not over-slippery for casters, just the perfect movement. I highly recommend.

For years we have put up with the cracking, breaking of the typical chair mat and having to replace it every year (or sooner!) This is AMAZING!!! Bright and shiny, see thru and very sturdy. First off, we have a medium pile carpet. Also, my husband is over 250 and has a large, heavy, wheeled executive desk chair and after using for a few months now, we couldn’t be happier! Well worth the money compared to spending $40-$50 every year or so.

Packaging was good and the mat arrived as advertised. I peeled both layers of protective film off and was delighted by the shiny, crystal clear look! I put it in place on my office rug and slid my chair around - everything was great so far. I laid my chair on its side to wipe off the wheels, but when I went to rotate to the next wheel, the leg lightly dragged on the mat and left a 12 inch permanent skid mark, along with smaller marks where one of the wheels was (see photos). Overall, I think this is a good affordable option for my office chair on top of my rug, but I can see the crystal clear look of this mat getting destroyed over time. This was a 5 star review until I realized (within minutes) how easily it scuffs. I’d still recommend, but just be super careful if you don’t want scuffs I suppose! And make sure your chair wheels/area are squeaky clean before you set it up!

Just a note... It appears that the protective sheeting is only on one side. However, it is on both sides and needs to be removed or you will think that the mat is white instead of clear...LOL Also should have purchased the option to get deep pile carpet but I did not see that option at the time. Works great and looks great.

2 months and there is an 8' split in the plastic. I just rolled my chair back (over new carpet) and heard a loud crack.

Of course I new before purchase the dimensions but thought I could overcome them. I was not able. I kept rolling my chair over the edges. Its of the highest quality and I would have kept it if it was bigger. I didnt like the price but figured by the time I kept buying my current mat I would come out ahead by buying this. I bought a 47x60 for half the price but the quality is not of the highest.

I do like that it is very clear and is not as noticeable as the standard mat. However, it is so slick that the chair rolls right off of it. Another thing worth noting is that it has scuffed terribly, so much so that the material is no longer crystal clear. I’m pretty disappointed. I have considered sending it back just because it is so slick, but I think it is better than the regular mats that are sold.UPDATE: This additional comment is several months after my original posting. I am adding that I WOULD NOT PURCHASE THIS MAT AGAIN. I slip on it when I am wearing my shoes, slippers, and even bare feet. My chair slowly scoots away from my desk all on it’s own when I make a minor adjust to my sitting position because the wheels are riding on “ice.” I love the transparency of the mat, but absolutely HATE everything else about it.

I have carpet and having a chair with wheels was not only difficult to move around in but also wore down the carpet over time. I relocated to a different part of my home and wanted to protect my carpet and so I puchaed this. It arrived in perfect condition and feels sturdy. It felt so good to be able to roll around with ease. Im a small person and I fear its going to crack when I sit in my chair but I know that it just takes some getting used to. It fits the area perfectly and glad I made this purchase.

Office chair usage, very strong

Package came perfectly protected no folds no creases. Delivery was in a week of purchase. No odd smells no plastic smell which is great. The sturdiness is also noticeable so you know the material is good.The only semi-confusing part was the paper protectors on both sides of the mat. It was a little finicky to get add to pull off but after we found it the clear material was clean and looked great.

The mat came quickly and was well packaged. IT is very sturdy and doesn't show any marks after rolling the chair over it all the time. Very happy with it!

Initially it appeared to be okay and was shipped flat. Lay beautifully on my short pile carpet. Just noticed a 3 inch crack forming in the middle of the mat. Supposed to have a one year warranty so I wrote to Dimex. No response as yet.
