Incredibly, Wonderfully Lethal
I live in the south. We have more hot months than cold, and therefore, more months of insect activity. I know deep down, that insects serve a purpose and some are actually essential to some facets of nature. However, I find most of them loathsome and quite terrifying. I can't stop my skin from crawling up my back when I see a bee or a roach. I have tried so many "home-defense" products that I just sprayed and sprayed and sprayed before anything died. I've tried the mixtures so deadly you have to wear gloves when mixing - I've tried other things you spray, things you hang, things you place in corners and drawers - just to stop having to see the nightmare inducing, segmented and horrifying bodies of insects. I bought Raid Essentials Ant Spider and Roach Killer mainly because it doesn't harm animals. I have two rabbits and one cat that are loved dearly, so this seemed a good choice. I had NO IDEA how awesome it would be. My house is very old and has a few cracks and crevices (that's a separate product review all together!). It started when a few big bees had somehow gotten through one of those cracks. Bees down south can be so big that their "buzzing" can actually be felt in your bones like a vibration. I was so scared, but I picked up the can and confronted the source. One little spritz and it was knocked out of the sky and down DEAD. It worked so fast and so totally, that I immediately bought two more cans so I could leave them in strategic places around my home. The next test was when a huge water bug came slouching out from under my frig. In case you don't know it, "water bug" is a euphemism for GIANT ROACH. Anyone who has dealt with them knows that they are FAST when threatened. I sprayed it, thinking I would need half the can to kill it, and would definitely have to chase it, but no! It literally froze in death mid-step. I soon discovered that ANYTHING else that even walked over where the Raid was sprayed died instantly. I find carcasses of little unlucky bugs around my ac unit frequently. I wish they sold this variant of Raid by the gallon so you could strap it on your back and just soak everything in front of you. The only two drawbacks? The scent isn't the best, and it's oily. If it gets on your floor, falling is inevitable if you don't get it up (I use a bleach mix to cut the oil). I've smelled worse, and cleaning it up is easy, so no big deal. To me, this stuff is worth every single penny. I'll never buy anything else. Quite simply, my message is: Hate scary bugs? Buy this.

Raid Essentials Ant Spider, and Roach Killer Aerosol Spray
I purchased this because I have pets and occasionally ants. This works well and the smell is not overpowering. I am using it for ants and when sprayed, I do not see them again for long periods of time. Eco-friendly.

Better than regular Raid
This stuff works better than regular raid. The only thing is it's hella greasy. After a few days I take a cleaning cloth and wipe it up. I use it when I know that people aren't going to be here for a few days. The best thing is that you don't have to keep spraying it and waiting for the insects to die. I spray it and move on and come back and the insect drops dead. They get delirious and then drop. This is good for every insect. I use it on flying insects like if I have too many gnats I put something out that they can't resist in a plastic bag and they all congregate to the item, then I spray them. They fall out of the air instantly to the floor or counter. This is good for every insect. The smell is so so. It has a heavy citronella type smell that lingers but it doesn't bother me more then the insects. I can still have my dogs around and do not worry they will get sick with from fumes or eating something that came in contact with their toys or food...They aren't allowed in the place I use it most which is the kitchen so it keeps them out of there too. I try to find them in the store but many retailers stopped selling this item for some reason.

Great eco-friendly insect spray
This is the best pet/people/environment insect spray! It kills bugs within seconds and doesn’t leave a strong odor. We have one can on each level of our home. We have been using it for a couple years and will continue to purchase it.

On the fence how well it works, is oily and smelly
I came to reread reviews since I've been using this product a few months and still not sure how well it works. If I can't reach the bug I've sprayed, it takes a whole lot of spray to stop movement. Then there's a large oily mess, and a very strong odor. It's lemony but also fairly nauseating and heavy in the air, definitely doesn't seem safe to stay where the spray has been used until it's had several hours to dissipate. I'm also not sure if it does anything to destroy spider eggs or to deter bugs in crevices. My main purpose with this stuff is getting to places I can't reach, so being unsure whether it works doesn't give me peace of mind. And I have to plan to spray when I can stay out of the room/keep pets away for several hours. Long story short it's probably safer than regular poison spray, but still requires ventilation and washing of surfaces. Not sure if it functions comparably to poison. Humans in house agree it smells bad, and overpowering. I'm considering trying vinegar/h20 spray next, at least that smells like salad?

WORKS for tiny ants
Immediately noticed the little sugar ants that were coming in from outside have stopped. I will continue to spray occasionally to keep them out! Smell is a strong lemon but goes away after a couple of hours.
