I bought this as a gift for my wife. She said she likes it although we have not had any watermelon yet to see how it works.

I saw a product like this on Facebook a while back and I instantly wanted one. Our family loves watermelon and it's super easy for family outings and adventures. As much as I love watermelon, I've always hated slicing it. Trying to get decent sizes for each person and if you're out and about it can get rather messy. I was super excited to get this product and had an outing coming up that would be a perfect test for the knife. We were all out hiking and having fun in the water and we were in a situation where there were no plates or dishware. Just our hands, the knife, and the watermelon. :)I'll admit that we did end up using it wrong. We were too excited to get into the food that we didn't stop and take a minute to read the directions. We ended up using the slicer upside down when slicing into the fruit. It still worked really well that way though. If you're out in nature or just somewhere where you don't wanna be super messy, this thing is awesome. You have to slice the melon in half yourself, of course, but then you just slide the knife in and and pull out a perfect sized piece every time. We had eight people with us that day, four of which were children, and it was super easy to just slice and hand them out as soon as someone wanted one. It was very easy, quick, and convenient.I think the only real complaint I had was that the green rubber handle stained. After just using it that one time, the handle has red stains all over it that don't come out when washed. Not that big of a deal, but still worth mentioning.
