Works Exactly as Expected — No Issues at All
This HP USB‑C Dock does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I use it at home to connect my personal laptop to monitors and the rest of my setup, and everything works smoothly with no problems. It’s simple, reliable, and makes my workspace way more convenient. I haven’t run into any issues, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Powers computer and accessories just fine and will turn off computer but does nit turn off usb accessories attached to hub

Never worked from day one.
I cannot plug my monitor directly into the dock it will not display. I have to connect it to my laptop. The docking station will not power on until I open the lid of my laptop and power it on. I've updated the Docking station with the latest drivers and also updated the BIOS in my laptop. I also unplugged the dock from the wall outlet tried a different outlet unplugged everything from the dock and held the power on button for 30 seconds to reset it still doesn't work. I went to the HP support site logged in and tried to add the dock to my devices so I can run diagnostics on it. But every time I put in the serial number it responds back that it can't find that SN. I took the serial number right off the bottom of the dock still no luck. I purchased this dock this past May. It never worked right out of box but being stubborn I tried to see if I could resolve the issue jokes on me!

Great For Home Offices
I have a similar docking station for my desk at work. That said, I finally wanted to upgrade to a dual monitor setup at home, but was worried about various docking station capabilities as some require third-party software to update the docking stations hard drive, that my IT department blocks. After doing some research online, most if not all, USB-C docking stations that use ThunderBolt Technology (multi-display capability), bypass this requirement; making the system plug and play. I’ve only used it a few times, but have no complaints!

Works great once you install the display link app, else both monitor are mirrors of the mac. Afterwards, I did have 3 independent monitors. I was in doubt concerning the claim of 144hz and 120hz, but it seems to work fine. Great companion for MacBook Air m4.
