Swimming with music is awesome
I started using waterproof earbuds after being sick and tired of wathching only people on dry land getting to hear music. I have used many different types of waterproof earbuds and have found All the earbuds I have tried has had something wrong with them. Most reviews I found were not in favor of these, or any, earbuds out there. But its the technology that is still new when it comes to waterproof earbuds. I gave these earbuds "5 stars" because in comparison to most others they offer the most without over inflating their prices. These waterproof earbuds as all regular earbuds don't have superior home threater sound, but the music doesn't sound bad either. All waterproof earbuds rely on an airtight seal to conduct sound waves. Which means you need to experiment with the different sizes provided and don't expect to get a real good work out that first day. As a safety mechanism the bud does go out when water comes in direct contact with it but it is easily fixable. So far the soft blue pads have held up pretty long. When they do finally wear out, they're pretty cheap to replace. This product offers a wider variety of sizes with good guality that has lasted me. Once I found my correct fit for each ear the buds hardly fall out. If they do its because of my error. They only thing I would change is the cord. Its way too long, maybe a retactable cord somehow would be better.

In a word, UNBELIEVABLE!
Folks, IF you really want to listen to audio during a water/swim workout, IMOHO sound does NOT come better than with these H2O Audio IE2-BK Surge 2G Waterproof Sport In-Ear Headphones. Trust me, trust me, trust me, you will NOT be disappointed! I purchased a pair of these, to work in tandem with a waterproof iPOD shuffle player-unit (purchased from WaterFi, also via Amazon.com) to accompany me in my swimming in my own backyard pool and at the outdoor AND indoor pool of my health club gym. (See my review for the WaterFi product - a GREAT item, also!). For heavy-duty swimming, I also purchased a Speedo latex bathing cap (easier way to ensure earbuds stay in my ears) and water googles. DH told me "you look like Diana Nyad With Tunes!"To me, NOTHING is better in the world than coming home to your own tunes on your WaterFi, listening to your own music, with deeper UNREAL bass sound under the water! And, no need to worry about your music YOU like to hear bothering your neighbors (or even others in your "swimming space"!) over local neighborhood "sound control issues" and/or listening to your DH's radio broadcasts of the local baseball game on the patio speakers... PLUS they're GREAT to wear when you're topping off your health club workout in the hot tub, listening to your fave audio tunes while you soak your pains and cares away (and avoid chatting with people you really don't care to strike up conversations with!).Worth the money? Absolutely! After a year and a half, they're fully functiona1! This company supplies several sizes of blue "ear buds" with the earphones to fit any human ear! I was surprised how good they fit and feel! Great product! IMOHO, a "MUST-BUY"!! :)

Takes your swimming to another level
Really good product, im an ex-competitive swimmer and ive started to visit the pool again and this things work great. Ive had my doubt if they could work as good with different strokes but so far ive swam freestyle, fly, breastroke and have no problems with them. During turns or sprinting which was another concern they have stayed right on no lost of sound. I think the trick is to find the perfect size of buds to create a perfect seal and avoid taking them off while resting before another set of laps. Ive found out that when taking them off some water can get in your ears and/or not get a good seal and therefore get the muffling sound caused because of water in your ears. I highly recommend this earbuds. They offer good sound (hey its music underwater), they are comfortable, they are not heavy and you can barely notice you have them on while swimming.

Inferior product at a high price
I purchased the Waterfi Waterproof iPod Shuffle Swim Kit. An amazing product. I'm not sure which headphones came with it, but the headphones worked for about 10 swims, then then one side went completely out (all troubleshooting failed). So I decided to purchase what I thought were the top-of-the line headphones, boy was I wrong. From my first swim until #8 or so I decided that this was a completely wasted purchase and I ended up getting Pyle PWPE10W which are outstanding at a low price which I'll get to later. 1) The sound quality is very poor, even out of the water. The bass "boost" distracts from the quality and the sound is not in the ballpark of the Pyle PWPE10W which are very clear and crisp in or out of the water. 2) The fit is terrible. The buds are poorly designed and do not provide a good seal (yes I tried all of them). Under the tips, it says to rotate the bud to adjust for sound. This is absurd! You shouldn't have to play around with the ear buds, ESPECIALLY rotate!!! Yes, the sound varied as I rotated, but it never stayed good, never sounded good, and always leaked at some point. 3) The price is almost 3 times higher than the Pyle PWPE10W, but not even 10% as good. Buy the Pyle PWPE10W instead for $13. They fit perfectly. They don't leak. They provide a tight seal. They sound incredible. They are affordable. I really have nothing positive at all to say for H2O IE2's. Very disappointed. I will stick with the Pyle PWPE10W's.

Nice while they lasted.
These lasted 4 months, then the sound in one earpiece became distorted, like the sound of a speaker that had blown out. I didn't play the music extremely loud, and I wore them only when swimming. I'm buying a different brand to replace them.
