Easy to Install
The HEYTRIP soft roof rack worked perfectly. The two sections were easy to install. The front and rear straps worked perfectly on our Ford Flex and prevented front to rear movement or frint lift. The soft roof rack supported our kayak, without damaging the roof, at highway speeds between Phoenix and Lake Havasu City.A couple of suggestions.1. Before installing these on the car, lay them out on the car, put the kayak, paddleboard, etc. in them and determine the best routing for the tie down straps. Route these straps before installing the roof racks onto the vehicle.2. All straps and tie downs had a slight stretch to them. I suggest that after install and loaded, you drive 20-25 miles, and retightened. If you are traveling at highway speeds, do this a 2nd time about 50 miles after the first retightening. These are a great value!

Easy to install, works perfectly for me
I purchased this to go on the roof of my 2015 Honda Civic as I did not want to put a hard rack on my roof. I have a 8 foot kayak that weighs 37lbs and I wanted something so I could take the kayak out by myself. I’m a 67-year-old woman and this was perfect for me. The roof rack is extremely easy to install, and it came with all the necessary straps and tiedowns. I particularly like the T handled straps that go under the hood and under the trunk to help tie down the front and back of the kayak. I can install the whole roof system in less than 15 minutes, add about 15 more minutes to get my kayak, loaded and tied down. I also appreciate the padding of the rack system, which protects my cars paint. I’ve use this 4 time since I purchased it, and it gets easier to put on every time. I’ve also traveled 40 miles at highway speeds of 55 to 60 mph with no problem. I have kayak buddies who were very impressed with the system and looking to purchase as well. Highly recommend.

Easy to use, OK padding,
I bought this for a 10 foot kayak to put on top of my SUV that has a moonroof that takes up almost the entire roof. It’s really easy to install and I genuinely like the products with two suggestions. I have a Nissan rogue 2015 SL and the sunroof goes to almost the front of the car where the hood starts to slant down. To avoid putting any pressure on the sunroom if I have to put the pad in front of it which puts it on an angle and doesn’t really support the front of the kayak. After some trial and error I think I’m going to have to get a thick foam block for the front but the back works fine. I wish these pads were just a little bit thicker. The other suggestion is the trunk loop to attach the bow and stern has very light rubber. When I try to shut it at the front of the vehicle to tie down the bow it pops right out. I have a bug shield attached to my hood which may be causing the issue but I wish the rubber on the bow and stern line was much thicker or even a hard material so that it wouldn’t pop out of my hood. I really can’t use them for my vehicle so I’ve got a find a different way to secure the front and the back but other than that these are a decent product and would work much better top of your vehicle is relatively flat.

Perfect for my kayak
These are excellent tie down straps for my solo kayak on my roof rack. The pads are a good size and easily attach to my cross bars, and have plenty of padding to support my kayak. The straps seem durable and are long enough to properly secure the kayak to the roof rack. Bonus points for not being ratchet tie downs, as I’ve been told these can potentially damage your kayak. The bow and stern tie downs seemed sufficient for securing the kayak, as well. I also liked the bag to properly store everything when not being used. I’ve put a lot of miles on my Bronco with my Eddyline kayak on top, and I’ve had zero issues with the HeyTrip roof rack system.

This product works and is durable
This product comes ready to use. It has fully functional storage bag. Takes me 15 minutes from start to finish to setup straps on car, load board then tie done straps. Product’s design protect car from scratches when syncing down. Product non slip surface works at 75 mph with no wobble. Really like the “loop” that you thread top rope trough on final side of syncing down. Maximum “snugness” for board to pad and eliminates “strap vibration” noise when driving at high speeds. Using my board more bc of this product!!! Side note: I was still using my 20 years ago style (foam pad and four old school tie down straps) before I got this product. No more pulling into rest area every 30 miles to check if board is still on car 😂😂😂👌👌

Keeps my kayak a little more secure.
Bought this for hauling my kayak on my roof. I wanted the cushions because I was hoping it would lift my boat up a little to clear my fin antenna on the roof of my car. These cushions did help raise it up a bit but I mostly liked how it made my kayak fit a little more securely on the roof rack. Maybe eliminated some plastic on plastic wiggle. They’re mostly secured with Velcro and I wasn’t super thrilled with how it didn’t seem to wrap around and close in an appealing manner. I think I’ll use Velcro straps of my own to wrap around it in places that appear to sag where there’s no Velcro present on the cushion.I’m not a huge fan of the main straps. They’re okay. But I supplemented them with some more heavy duty straps for piece of mind. The front hull straps were nice. I used them and the anchors shut in my hood just fine. But if your boat is strapped down properly, these should never be necessary. I used them as a warning ties. If I saw tension in them, I knew something not good was happening on my roof.I can’t vouch for durability yet. I’ve only used them a handful of times and I take the cushions off and store them when I’m not hauling my boat. But I don’t see them wearing out quickly. It’s a pretty durable and handy package for the money.
