Great product
It's easy to use cuts perfectly the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the nut keeps unscrewing easily even when tightening firmly somehow comes loose while working.

if held correctly with the curved side down this can quickly rip open a seam, even tiny stitches.

Good tool, but in need of some improvements
Its a standard reusable scalpel handle, fitted with a standard No.12 scalpel blade. Nice pretty color. What I like about it is it makes ripping seams MUCH easier and faster in a lot of cases, especially flat felled seams, versus a conventional seam ripper. What needs improvement on this particular piece is the plastic cover for the blade. It's a soft plastic that the scalpel blade easily contacts and will pierce if not careful. Scalpel blades are incredibly sharp, so a hard plastic cover for this implement is a must for safety purposes. I hope the manufacturer will take this into immediate consideration.

Works great
This is the best seam ripper I have ever used. Very well designed and fits well in your hand. This ripper can grab the tiniest stitch. Love it!

Disappointed
The product is as expected, but because I chose to buy " like new" it did not come with extra blades. I would have bought it new had I know.

Great Tool, Once I Could Get the Screw Unscrewed
This is a beautiful and fabulous tool. Well made, nice design, and beautiful. Seriously bad ass blade.Only issue: the screw was pretty locked tight. I ended up needing to put a few drops of beard trimmer tool oil on it, let it sit, then took a small wrench to it with a cloth around the bolt. Now it works fine. But I shouldn't have to do that for a new product. Hence, the four stars.The surgical blades for it are SUPER sharp. Better than any other cutting tool for sewing I have. I do have the same blades on another cutting too, but this is better designed for sewing.Also, I'm a lefty and this tool works great for me.Users can buy replacement #12 scalpel blades here on Amazon.
