Good Enough for Very Small Children
I have the 46-President + 50-State deck.I bought this pack for the State Flashcards, as I already have some for the Presidents. I purchased this set because the states' locations were highlighted on the front of the card, and there was good contrast between the highlighted state and the other states. After a quick look over the deck, the only glaring issue I have found is that the State Flag of Mississippi has not been updated. All states are highlighted correctly, and it appears that state trees, birds, and flowers are all correct. However, the cards seem to distinguish between "Cardinal" and "Northern Cardinal" as state birds, along with a similar distinction between the "Mockingbird" and "Northern Mockingbird." The information "Statehood Year" should probably be labelled "Admitted [to the Union]" along with the full date of admission. All the Presidents seem to be correct. The illustrations of the Presidents seem accurate enough, though I really think that having a copy of a common painting or photo of each president would probably have been better.More subjectively...I think the card size could be a tad bigger, or they could have done away with the border. I have a couple of decks of Presidents that I am using to help my nephew (2 years old) and niece (almost 4 years old) learn the Presidents. One set of cards is from CarDia, is about the same size, and only has the picture of the President on the front. The other set was from Trend, and it had the picture, number, and full name of the President on the front. Having the name on the front is good; that way my niece can read the names. However, they had the full names (e.g. "James Earl Carter, Jr.," not "Jimmy Carter," and "George Herbert Walker Bush" instead of "George H. W. Bush"), which can be confusing for such young children. This set of cards gives the common name of the President on the front of the card, but that is really the only advantage they have over other decks.I recently picked up a couple of maps to get my niece and nephew started on geography. However, maps can be a little cluttered, and the ones I have don't go to any great lengths to make the state capitals stand out. For now, the U.S. map just helps the kids get an idea of what states are where, and an innate sense of their relative sizes and locations. I'm hoping these cards will help the kids learn the names and capitals of the states. If my niece and nephew show some aptitude for it, I will likely get the Trend Enterprises and CarDia decks for states, too; the former for their size and information, the latter for the clear depiction of the State Flags. For what you get in these decks, the price really isn't that bad. It is cheaper by far than CarDia, and it is about the same price as buying the Trend products separately (the bundle they offer, though only about $8, is not up-to-date with the Presidents). For initial learning of Presidents and States, this is probably a good investment. Any deeper learning, and you may want to opt for additional sets from other companies.

My 4 yo loved his pack!
Bought this for my 4 yo and he loves it. There was one typo my son caught. 2 presidents are named 30th president. I think Hoover is named 30th with Coolidge, but he’s actually 31st. It was something like that, but other than that my kid loves them.
