RV Camping in State Parks, 7th Edition

I absolutely love this book. I used it all summer long to plan our RV trips and to look at state park campgrounds. It is very detailed, including address, short description, whether they have showers and restrooms and the price. It will also list the limit your RV can be in length and how many sites they have. GREAT BOOK.

Easy to read maps and useful information. A good book for state parks camping. There are no pictures of the parks but very easy to Google or YouTube. Very satisfied with my purchase.

My husband and I purchased an RV earlier this year and figure we would want to stay at state parks frequently. I live in Virginia and didn't even realize how many state parks are in my own state! What I particularly like about this book is that it provides details about what RV facilities are available at each state park listed. While some offer sites with full hook-ups, others only offer water and electric, though may also have a dumping station onsite. This book will help make travel planning much easier. I recommend it for anyone who travels in an RV.

There is nothing fancy about this book. No photos, no fancy fonts, nothing. However, it is a comprehensive list of state campgrounds and it includes important information like GPS coordinates, camping costs, and a map of the state that shows you roughly where the campground is located. Perfect for my needs.

So it’s a good list. I was hoping there would be a personalized paragraph description of what is at the park. We want to tour state parks while that state in the RV. A list of all parks by state and then a list of features or highlights- say like waterfalls, hot springs, caves, kayaking, laundry etc with a bullet point if the park offered that would be really helpful planning a state tour. So its a book of lists and then you research what the highlights are if any. Also wish it listed the state park fees. Some are $7 pp on TOP of the camping fee so can be the same or more than a private campground. $35 to camp and 4 ppl at $7 is $63 a night we found out. Many private places with full hookups, laundry and WiFi are $45-65.

It has all the info you need to get to your campsite, maps, phone….just what I needed.
