I have plenty of wood staging planks, but they are HEAVY! I bought this plank to stage a very steep roof (essentially a wall!) that I would be shingling from a pair of ladders and a plank. I was doing this job alone, so I wanted a plank that would be easier to handle by myself, given that I would be making frequent adjustments as I shingled up the roof. Initially, I balked at the price, but this plank was worth every penny. It is adjustable in length, which makes it versatile. It is wider than a wood plank, which makes it more secure and comfortable. Have you ever walked from one end to the other of a wood plank with a twist in it? When it shifts under your feet, it really wakes you up! Better than coffee! None of that nonsense with this plank. It is dead flat. And it is so much lighter than wood, which makes it so much easier to handle, even by yourself.

I've been using this thing for a while now and I can't say anything bad about it even if I tried it rides around on the top of my van and every now and then I'll shoot a little DVD 40 down the side of it make sure I don't have any rust going on but it opens and closes without a scrape or scratch. And the rain does a good job of keeping joint compound and Blaster off of it

Outstanding 500lb rated telescopic walk board…best bang for the buck out there as far as telescopic goes. Holds two people with combined weight of ballpark 400 lbs with minimal sag even in the middle when let all the way out. I’ll buy the 9-15ft telescopic version next. Well done Little Giant!

I have owned every Little Giant / wing product since the 1980’s when they were direct to contractors . I own multiples of every generation ladder . This plank is solid . Carries two 200 lb men no problem . Cons - perhaps only one slight one . It would have been nice if like the Werner it locked in one foot increments so that it would instill more confidence while on ladder brackets instead of inside the rungs of the ladder . Or if it just locked in the fully Closed position so it stayed at 8 foot when pulling it out of your truck . But that’s a small issue considering the Werner is only a 250lb capacity compared to the 500 of this one . Also a side note : mine came with no paperwork for instructions or warranty and I can’t find a serial number stamped on the plank or the decals . Perhaps that’s the way it is . All said and done …. This is still the best available .

After research I decided this is the best one. It is the perfect size and weight. It adjusts much easier than my friends. It has hooks on the end to keep it from sliding off whatever you use it on. In my case a Bronco scaffold. I almost went with the low cost, then decided the hooks were a must for safety. Thanks Little Giant for another great product! :)

Very well built but heavy. I wish I had gotten one size smaller. But no flex when your on it.

I do renovation projects for family, and this apparatus provides flexibility in tackling jobs, especially when working high on walls.
