Need to make deep cuts with a 4.5in. how much of the blade can I use with this on it?

You’ll have to remove the dust guard from your grinder. On my Milwaukee grinder there is a fixed circular hub around the cutter shaft which I can insert into the Dastool attachment and fixed by a circular clamp. The distance from the grinder cutter axis to the bottom surface of the attachment is 1.25 inches. So if you have a 4.5 inch diameter cutter, you may have a cutting depth of 1 inch.

Will this fit a Makita GA7021 7" grinder?

It fit my 7" Milwaukee grinder, I had to put a washer behind the blade to keep from scraping the base with the edge of the blade.
