The best eye cream I have ever used

**3.5 STARS** I love French skincare and was drawn to this Eye Matrix Eye Contour Restructuring Treatment because of its wide claims of reducing fine lines, puffiness, and dark circles (immediately and over time), sagging skin, stimulating skin cells to hydrate and smooth skin, and a Botox-like peptide that relaxes muscles beneath expression lines. THAT'S A REALLY TALL ORDER that the company backed by actually listing %s of ingredients. Did it deliver? Partially. Here's what I found, but bear in mind that I have no crow's feet and my skin is super smooth, but am having a sudden issue with puffiness and dark circles from lack of sleep. I love eye gels and serums best. Nothing beats them for making the eye area look fantastic without grease, oils, or heaviness. This gel is no different. It leaves a smooth finish of hydration with sheen, and not a hint of lines or wrinkles. Frankly though, I get same result from St. Ives Cucumber & Elastin Eye & Face Stress Gel for only $3.95. What I didn't notice was any of the other stuff -- about sagging skin, dark circles and the Botox-like effect. Worse, it kept migrating into my eyes even after absorption. So, it's a very nice gel that feels weightless without any irritation or scent, but still is no different than countless other similar serums I own that cost far less (between $22 and $35). A couple of well-known drugstore brands even come to mind. It's always tricky making a large number of claims and risking not delivering on the promises. While I found the gel to be very adequate in the ways mentioned, it also didn't deliver the rest from what I could tell. For that reason, I wouldn't re-order it and consider it pricey beyond usefulness. There are several other go-to brands for the same results of this one, and much cheaper. However, I really, really respect and appreciate everything that did work while not causing an allergic reaction, being irritating, or annoyingly scented. For what I got out of it, the tube is worth half the price.

I noticed a difference immediately after applying this. This is an easy to spread white cream. After applying i went on with my day. Several hours later I checked myself out and my under eye skin area looks plump and hydrated. The hydration I expected. The smoother skin I did not. My fine lines are still there, but less noticeable beneath my makeup. I've never before used an eye cream that showed visible results so quickly. I'm super excited to see what long term use yields.

It really help to fade dark circles. It works wonderful. I love it.

This is my new favorite eye cream! It is perfect - not too light and not too heavy. It seems to absorb quickly and does not interfere with my makeup. I do notice that it plumps up my little fine line lines for the day.
