Great Call aching moves
As an instructional coach, I have found this book extremely useful to guide next steps with teachers when I’m not sure what direction to go. Well written and you don’t necessarily have to read from beginning to end. You can read just the sections that you need coaching advice for. Highly recommend for coaches, teacher mentors and administrators.

I've been looking forward to this book for quite some time and the current climate has given me the time to really dive in. Slightly disappointingly, my book arrived damaged, with a 2cm tear in the back cover. It's a five star book with a 2 star delivery, alas.

I passed this book on to my daughter-in-law who has recently taken a position as a deputy head maths teacher, where she is now required to mentor trainee/new teachers. She found this book extremely helpful - although it is written in relation to schools in America, many of the problems encountered are universal and this book sets out action plans to deal with pretty much all the new teacher difficulties she encounters in her job and it has proved a great source of guidance for her.

This is a comprehensive and helpful book for assisting in coaching or developing ITT or NQTs in school. What makes this so good is the comprehensive range of problems new teachers face are all addressed and action plans suggested. It can be a bit tricky to find the exact issue that you require but other than that, it's a really helpful and well thought out book. It is clearly written for a US audience but is completely applicable to the UK school system.

Major issue is that the dvd is missing and lots of the exercises require you to watch clips from the dvd
