The Samsung monitor is great but the mount for a monitor stand don't make sense - too high and limits the raising and lowering. This bracket is perfect. Fits directly into the angle mount for the samsung and screws in to make a solid connection. Using the Amazon dual monitor arms, I can now get a high range of motion for moving the monitors. Especially if I decide to stand at my desk. Great product.

Ordered this for a pair of S27E390H monitors to mount on a desk stand.The adapter does not attach directly to the monitor. Instead, it replaces the base of the stand. This moves the monitor several inches off the wall, and shifts the center of gravity forward, which applies enough leverage to make a stand I've used for other Samsung 27" monitors unstable. As in, unstable to the point where the tilt adjustment on the stand tipped forward, dumped one monitor on the floor and broke it during installation.The real problem is that these monitors were never meant to be VESA mounted, but this adapter doesn't solve that. There probably isn't any economical solution; this product is an interesting idea that never should have been brought to market after initial testing.

Works well. Wish they made one that could also pivot. We add hinge hardware so it would do so.Only gave a 3 star because one of the three we received broke right out of the box. The spot welds that hold the socket portion on the bracket were not good. We fixed it with a drill and some bolts.

The Samsung LU28E590DS/ZA monitor has a VESA mount but it is way up at the top of the monitor. Fine for mounting on the wall, BUT. If you are trying to use a VESA stand for your desk so you can support the monitor higher than the original desktop stand that comes with the monitor then you need an exceptionally tall VESA desk stand and I did not find one. With an average VESA desk top stand the monitor's highest position was only slightly higher than where the original desktop stand put it. It ended up being about 4 inches off the desk. I wanted 10 inches.Worse yet Samsung put the jacks right in the middle below the VESA mount so many VESA mounts will cover them up and you can't plug in the monitor. Hey Samsung, (and all other TV and monitor manufacturers) the power cord and jacks need to be over to one side out of the way of any VESA mount.So I bought this adapter because it mounted into the original desktop stand hole at the bottom and positioned the VESA mount bolt hole much lower so the monitor could be much higher. BUT there was a problem. Holding it at the bottom with the weight of the monitor all above made it quite top heavy and even though the tilt hinge on my VESA stand was rather robust, it was no match for the top heavy monitor. So when I let go of the monitor it just rotated the Eltab ELTGM07-1 hinge right down to the desktop like a dead bird with the monitor laying face down on the desk top. I tightened the hinge screw to the point that I was pretty sure I was about to break it and it wasn't even close to holding up the monitor.So you would need a VESA stand that doesn't have a tilt hinge at all (for which I can't find any).Conclusion is this adapter serves no purpose at all. And I can't think of a situation where it would be useful.I gave it two stars because maybe someone has a use for it that will work. I just can't imagine any.If you used it on a non hinged wall mount that would work but why bother since really all you need to do is put the wall mount higher up on the wall to accommodate the original position of the VESA mount on the Samsung.Now I understand a lot more about VESA mounts.The tilt hinge on a VESA mount needs to be just slightly above the center of gravity for the monitor so the weight of the monitor hangs from the tilt hinge and doesn't try to rotate it. And I stress just barely above center of gravity so you can still tilt it if you like and not have the monitor over power the tilt hinge.That point on this Samsung monitor is about where the VESA mount already is. I tried using the VIVO Universal TV Tabletop Stand (STAND-TV00T) which has been fantastic for most of my TVs and pleasantly supports them off the table tops allowing cable boxes and DVD players to be underneath. But Samsung placed the jacks in the way so the stand covers them up. And besides the feet of the VIVO stand sticks out in front and underneath my keyboard. So it's great for TVs but not so good for computer monitors.I got no solution at all except to build something out of plywood or 2x4's to raise my desktop stand up about 5 inches. Time to go downstairs to my shop and do some inventing. But frankly this is getting too complicated to bother with.

The adapter is a solid well-made product, that is easy to install and my Samsung screen (LS24E391HL) fits perfectly to it.
