This an awesome bread maker. It is large but have it in the corner of my kitchen worktop for ease of use when adding additional ingredients. Comes with instructions and recipes and is easy to use plus Panasonic has additional receipes on their website. Every loaf has been a success, I've made white, wholemeal and fruit loaves plus used it for making cookie dough. The bread is amazing and tastes like bread should, like when I was a kid with non of the nasties that shop bought bread has. It's durable and well made, and for me is good value for money, has a delay timer, for fresh bread every other day. Other than the smacking noise when the yeast is being added this is a low noise machine. So glad we've purchased and wished we'd done this sooner.

The instructions are easy to follow, making it suitable even for novice bakers. Cleaning is straightforward, although the bread pan is not dishwasher safe, but I love how it just wipes clean with a damp cloth. In terms of performance, this bread maker delivers delicious results consistently. The bread comes out with a perfect crust and texture every time, and as expected tastes nice and fresh, while filling the house with that lovely bread smell. It is relatively quiet during operation, although it can be a bit noisy during the kneading process. I love all the different options for the size of the bread and you can have a fully baked loaf in under 2 hours if needed. While the bread maker is on the pricier side, it offers excellent value for money given its versatility and the quality of the bread it produces. It is a cost-effective and healthier alternative to store-bought bread, especially if you use it regularly, so far I am using it twice a week with no issues. I am very satisfied with the Panasonic SD-YR2550 Bread Maker. It is a reliable, versatile, and high-quality appliance that has made baking bread at home a joy. I've not bought loaf of bread since I purchased this machine. Flippin Chris Van Tulleken, has made me change my ultra processed diet habits and since I'm not naturally a baker, I figured buying a bread machine with good reviews for wholemeal bread was the way forward. I spent WEEKS looking for the right one and the right functions, what types of sensors, when the yeast goes in. You know the drill if you're reading this. Let me tell you, this thing makes fantastic loaves and boy is it easy. It's so good it's actually changed my life. About twice a week I make a loaf of bread, it takes me less than two minutes (I timed it) to fling the ingredients in this bad boy. The night before, normally and I wake up to the smell of a fresh baked loaf of bread. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. The bread it makes is phenomenal, there's nothing quite like a fresh loaf. For your wholemealers out there, sometimes you need to add a little extra yeast (and buy the good stuff, professional or Fermipan) to get the right rise but what comes out has a wonderful soft but firm texture. Tastes like real bread, it's impossible not to spread a thick layer of butter on the first steamy slice and get stuck in. If you like white (or a mix) this will blow your mind. The texture is soften than a cloud, I honestly can't quite believe it. I've also made a pannetone, which was an absolute breeze. Everyone thinks I'm a genius baker officianado even though I've told them it's the machine. I bought a ready made focaccia mix and just slung it in there. Boom, one of the most delicious, softest and flavoursome breads I've ever eaten. This machine is the bee's knees and if like me youve never had a bread machine, just do it. It's one of life's joys. Just a few other notes: The bread goes stale much faster than shop bought stuff, but that's normal without all the chemicals. Buy a good bread knife and a slicing guide. This machine makes all sorts of whacky stuff, jam??? I've not tried that. But I will. Trust me, set the timer, it's super easy waking up on a Saturday to fresh bread. My goodness. What a dream. I give this 10/10

We had an older Panasonic but bought this one because it's thermostat is an upgrade. Being gluten free we hoped this would give a better result and it has. Makes a tasty well shaped gluten free loaf. Easy and qiet to use, easy to adapt the recipe, solid good quality machine. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely thrilled with this bread machine. Absolute life changer!! Insanely easy to use and have fresh bread. I refuse to ever buy a loaf of bread again it is that good. 3 hours I have the most perfect delicious wholemeal loaf of bread with no nasies whatsoever. Kids love the bread too. Timer function is great. Size is perfect. I bought a new/used edition. There was a small cosmetic dint in the side wall but does not remotely affect its use. Very pleased for the price I was able to pick this up for too.

Bought this model because my Mum has one. It does exactly as you expect. Many programs and perfect every time.

Have only made a couple of loaves so far but pleased with the results. Not too many recipes in the manual and the settings are a bit difficult until you get your head around them. Seems well made and sturdy. Not too noisy. A lot of programmes which allow you to try a lot of different breads. Overall happy with my purchase xx

One of the best bread machine, doing everything amazing kneading and baking

Meine frühere einfache Brotbackmaschine ist mittlerweile kaputt gegangen, nach 10 jahren und wollte diesmal etwas besseres zulegen. Ich bin wirklich begeistert. Die Brote sind immer super. Der Teig ist einfach wirklich gut gemacht. Der Brotbackautomat schafft es den Teig immer irgendwie schön sämig zu rühren. Entsprechend ist der Brotteig nach dem Backen absolut homogen perfekt. Keine grösseren Luftlöcher oder irgendwelche Makel. Was ich ebenfalls gut finde ist, dass der rührer, also dieser propeller, wie ein stumpfes messer ist, dadurch schneidet es sich in 80% der Fälle durch den Brotteig sobald man das Brot aus dem Schüssel kippt. Das finde ich ganz praktisch. Ansonsten hat es relativ viele programme und einige gimmicks, wie Rosinen streuer oder hefe streuer, aber da ich meistens nur brotbackmischungen verwende, ist das mir persönlich relativ egal. Ausprobiert hab ich es aber und es funktioniert ansich auch einwandfrei. Hatten auch mal Kuchenteig zusammenrühren lassen, klappt auch ganz gut. Das Backergebnis ist übrigens auch gleichmässig, mit 3 bräunungstufen. Kann ich somit empfehlen.

Works very well. The controls can be difficult to remember how to use if used infrequently. Several times I've thought it is running but come back an hour later to find a silent device.
