No, I do not buy this product from Amazon. I buy it locally for obvious reasons. But because I am so much enamored by this product, I felt compelled to write a review of it, and Amazon is as good of a place as any. Now I love this product for many reasons. First, this full fat version, has an unbelievably good taste and is magnificent, either by itself, with any kind of fresh fruit, and with veggies. For dessert, I sometimes take a tablespoon of this Yogurt and mix in some Viva raw cocoa nibs (which I do buy from Amazon) which is both delicious and nutritious. Buy the way this variety of Fage yogurt is packed with protein and has less sugar than any other Greek yogurt that I have ever seen. I also particularly love to mix this yogurt with freshly boiled beets, and in my opinion, it is better than full fat sour cream. Now a second reason, and perhaps the most important reason, to me as to why this is such a great product, is that I am convinced that it has had a terrific soothing effect on my stomach. For years I suffered with a sharp pain in my stomach. I am in pretty good shape and eat good foods so two years ago I convinced myself that the pain in my stomach was nothing serious. My wife thought I was stupid for not going to the doctor. But doing a little research a few years ago, I read that Greek yogurt, in general, was good for ulcers. Now I do not really know whether or not I had an ulcer, but after a few days of eating about four ounces per day of this variety of Fage Yogurt, yes, the full fat version, Fage Total, my stomach pains almost totally went way. I feel great. Once in a while, however, when I am negligent, and do not have any yogurt for a day or two, my stomach pains come back a little. Yes, just a little. Nothing compared to the sharp pains I used to get. And so, when I feel the mild pains coming from my stomach after not had any of the Fage for a few days, a tablespoon is all that it takes to almost instantly make that pain go away. Now does Fage actually improve my overall health? Maybe, who knows? Over the past two years since I have been eating this Yogurt regularly I have lost 15 pounds. At five foot eleven, I was a relatively healthy 66 year old man weighing 180 pounds. Today I am 68 and weigh 165 pounds and I feel great. Though to be totally honest, I have also, over the past two years, increased somewhat my level of exercise. In addition, I have also eliminated all artificial sweeteners from my diet, and perhaps that has also had a positive effect on my overall health. Who knows? But bottom line, I feel really confident that Fage Total yogurt, the full fat version, is for me, an essential ingredient to my own personal state of good health.
