We love this food
We love this food! Our pet rats stay healthy and a good weight on this. I know some people say the 18% protein should only be fed to nursing mom rats but we feed this to all our rats and have never had a problem with them being over weight or getting tumors.

Did anyone really buy this from amazon?
5 stars for the food, none for the price. With these prices, who would even consider owning rats? I get mine from pet food direct, 40$ for the 40lb bag and shipping included. They always have promo's too so for what amazon is charging you, you can easily get multiple 40 lb bags.

It's good food and my rats love it
It's good food and my rats love it, but if you are spending over $200 on 40 lbs of food, you obviously need to learn how to shop other places on the internet. I can find the same food for around $40 without any discounts.

Great Food
I currently do not purchase this through Amazon, but I will from now on. I have been using Harlan 2014, but due to issues with ordering, will be switching to the publicly available Native Earth. This is a good price, even with shipping, for a food far superior to what is available in pet stores. My rats eat this and regular food and they LOVE it. I'm so glad Harlan chose to make this available to pet owners.
