The retrospec Solana exercise mat is wonderful! I selected black as the color option. It is 1 inch thick (72" x 24" x 1") so there is plenty of padding to make for relatively painfree stretching. It is more comfortable than the PT tables at the rehab center where I am receiving treatment for a sprained ankle! The mat is easy to roll up for storage and to unroll for daily usage. I feel I made the right choose in selecting this brand for the features offered and at a reasonable price. I haven't tried cleaning it yet because I just purchased it.

Love this mat. It's big enough to do sun salutations, firm enough for balances poses, and the best part is the one-inch depth. It's a soft resilient cushion that protects you and makes floor work comfortable and easy.

Noticeably thicker than other yoga mats and very comfy/well cushioned. I have bad knees and this makes sitting and kneeling much more comfortable. The carrying sling is nice, but slides around pretty easily. But way better than carrying it without the sling/strap for sure. A bit pricey, but I feel like it's worth it for the quality.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I wanted a mat that I could use on a very hard floor and this is the perfect option. It's thick, soft, and firm enough to withstand kneeling on without feeling the hard floor under me. My only complaint is that it's a bit heavier than I would like, but that is the trade off for padding. I like the mat and will use it for weight training classes at the church. It costs more than other mats, but I like the larger size, as I could use it for a sleeping pad if needed. I also love the gentle green color. It rolls into a good sized roll, so not one to carry very far, but comes with straps to keep it rolled for storage.

Got this mat for floor exercises and muscle tone routines with elastic resistance bands. It is a good thickness and comfortable enough for an extended period of time. Like the elastic band that came with it to make it easily storable once rolled up. The mat is of good quality and worth what was paid for it. I am 5'9" and it is large enough for my exercise routines. Like that it was available in custom colors like purple which I selected. Would recommend and buy again if needed.

The mat is dense enough to be very comfortable doing yin or restorative yoga, or pilates-type exercises directly on the floor. It is as thick as described, and seems to be of very good quality.

I recently started exercising again and this mat makes it much more comfortable. The thickness really helps my knees, which aren’t as young as they used to be. The only thing I’ve noticed is that I have a little more trouble with my balance because my foot seems to move more because the mat is soft and thick. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, and the benefit to my knees is worth it! Some people have mentioned an odor. I’m very sensible to that and I haven’t noticed any smell coming from it. I don’t find it too bulky to carry, given its thickness. I definitely recommend this mat, especially if you want to alleviate pressure on your knees and joints!
