When Crocs Fly: A Pearls Before Swine Collection (Volume 4) (Pearls Before Swine Kids) Paperback – July 12, 2016

This is a Pearls book so of course it's great. Having all strips in color definitely helps with appealing to children though the content itself is often above their level. What this book does is expand their vocabulary and challenge their understanding. Be prepared to have your kids gleefully reading the jokes to you.

My 9 year old is in love with pearls before swine - he frequently quotes strips :) we often have fun conversations where he asks us to explain a convoluted pun… this series aimed at kids seems to be out of print so we’ve purchased them from a variety of sellers used… they’ve all been well loved, but my son is happy to have them in his collection.

I cant help but like this sick gentleman, being a part-time collector of comics starting back with the underground of the 70s , Stephan is worth the time and change.

My son loves this series! He's 10 years old and laughs out loud throughout the entire book. He sits and reads the whole book in a matter of hours and then shares his favorite pages with me. I have to admit that I as an adult also think this book is hilarious!

'When Crocs Fly: A Pearls Before Swine Collection' by Stephan Pastis brings back the usual gang of animals (and some new ones) for some really funny comics.Zebra is plagued by his neighbors the crocodiles who want him to come over for a barbecue, and to be the main course. Pig is still not very bright, but he is pretty endearing. There are some penguins who can't find their wives, but should be more worried about a hungry polar bear lurking nearby. There are also some lemmings who regret things they've done.I find this comic strip to be very funny. I always devour a new collection, and it always makes me laugh, especially the clueless crocodiles and their always failing attempt to lure zebra on to their table. The humor here is perfectly appropriate for children, and my inner child.I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Even though written for a younger audience, my husband and I loved this book. The kids loved it, too, so I guess it pleases everyone.... those who are young, and those who are young at heart. Pastis can please any audience.

Worth every penny.

Funny, funny, funny. Pastis is a great comic writer and the crocs are his best.

Tipp: Laut lesen hilft.
