Why did you pick this product vs others?: This torch worked perfectly for my needs. The magnets in place very well.

My last Blazer torch lasted over ten years, and with the exception of the added child safety clip (easily removed) this torch appears identical. I've been using it for over a year before leaving this review, and it never fails to light. I use it for light silver smithing. like soldering jump rings and repairing chains. Good quality and it's the right tool for the right job.

Very well built. Powerful. Good fuel supply. Intuitive & Ergonomic operation. I was initially drawn to it by it's top-tier ratings in several Torch comparison articles. Blazer's high-value pricing sealed the deal, for me. Highly adjustable for both butane gas flow (big to small flame) and air injection (soft-broad to HOT-pinpoint flame) My only wish is that it could be adjusted for a smaller minimum flame. But in fairness, for such a torch, a little bit too much flame is certainly much preferable to too little. You can always hold it farther away.

Oh yeah, this baby is sweet! I am a tool-freak (I must own 100 hammers). I own and have a number of small torches. Some lesser torches always leak a tiny bit, it seems like you need to fill them every time you want to use them. Not so with the Blazer, it's completely well-sealed. Lesser torches also eventually wear out their piezo-electric igniters. This one is built to last. It is SUPER-hot and the flame is very concentrated, you get a pin-point heat source. It has an excellent and VERY SAFE safety mechanism, young children will NOT be able to ignite this torch. Some adults won't figure it out either, but that's okay. A really fine product in all respects.
