FlePow flexible power strip with usb 5-Outlet Home/Office Rotating Surge Protector Power Strip with Dual USB Charging Ports (5V, 2.1A), 3.8ft Cord quirky power strip

Innovative flexible plug sections is a useful feature. It allowed me to contour the strip around one leg of my office desk. This one out of the several that I researched here has the right capabilities for my applications. This means peripherals like printers and scanners as well as USB speakers and such. Critical hardware like CPU and disk drives go on a separate kind of system of course. But for peripherals, this strip is perfect particularly because it has 5 plugs and USB capability but nothing unnecessary like timers or other things. After all, probably like you, the strip is going to sit under my desk, back toward the wall, under power cables. Out of sight, out of mind once set up.I'm quite happy with the unit. Just keep in mind that the two USB ports supply 2.1 A total. As long as you keep the total draw below this level, you won't have any problems.

I received this malleable surge suppressor at a discount in exchange for my honest review. I've already got plenty of surge suppressors for my office, but I was hoping this one would serve a special purpose in my kitchen. I'm happy to say it worked for me better than I expected.I have an extremely tiny kitchen. I don't have enough countertop space for all the appliances I use almost daily (crock pot, air fryer, sous vide circulator with water bath, coffee pot, rice cooker, Ninja food processor/smoothie maker, toaster), not to mention all the food-prep implements and accessories I use. I have to keep these things out and visible or I don't think to use them and it's a royal PITA to get them out and stow them away.I purchased a few Origami shelves that I put in a corner of my kitchen, and I use them to hold just a ton of stuff, from some of the above-mentioned items to pantry items bought in bulk from Costco, dog food, soft drinks, etc. I was using one of the standard brick surge suppressors where I now have this FlePow power strip, and I was having to reach far back to the strip to turn it off. I was hoping to find one that could accommodate my smart plugs that could be hung back in the back of the otherwise-wasted large between-shelf space of my countertop-level shelf, totally out of my way; I have utensils and cooking accessories hung toward the front.Please see the photos of my setup to see the surge suppressor in action. It's hard to describe in words what I have to contend with, but hopefully from the pictures I've taken you'll be able to see just how great this FlePow strip is in my kitchen. Those  large white plugs , by the way, can be switched on and off with one remote that I keep on the top shelf, which is a lot easier to deal with than reaching way back there to manually switch plugs on and off—or, even harder, to unplug the appliances.Now I have the setup I need, and I've even got room to plug in something else if I need to. The bulky black power supply plug goes to a light I've temporarily got in there but that will be changed out for a better undershelf light; it fits fine in the closest plug to the reset switch on this power strip without obstructing the ability to flip the switch if I need to. As you can see, I have just a ton of stuff on this shelf, and this power strip is just perfect. It hangs from a standard S hook from my Origami shelf and I don't have to fool with it.This power strip is already changing my life. Perfect.

I love the flexibility of it, yet after maybe a day I noticed a high pitched ringing in the room...followed the really annoying noise back to the power strip. I realized the only way to get rid of it was to either turn it off (pointless), or I had to keep something charging in the USB ports at all times. I don't always have that need. Returning to buy something else. Bummer.

The unit functions as advertised but the high pitch squeal when its not having enough power flow through it is enough to drive you insane. might be ok in a cabinet that muffles the sound, but on a desk being actively used its quiet a displeasure. I find myself turning it off just so I can think.Update 11/14/16: seller contacted me to offer a replacement. Fingers crossed this one is better.

Long cable and ease of turning ports is great. But after 2 days of use, it started making a high pitched noise while on and nothing plugged into it. This can't be good. Stopped using it.

I bought this power strip to put behind my TV that is hanging on the wall. I only have two plugs back there and needed more. This is great because I turned it to wrap around the metal holder of the TV and it is out of the way but yet is accessible to plug all my items into.

THIS is a great idea! I'm running 3 oversized plugs on the same strip as 3 standard sized plugs WITHOUT overlap or losing one or 2 for the first time in my life :-) !

I can finally plug in all my adapters to one power strip without using more 'adapters' to make the adapters fit! Know what I mean? I mean who designs those little outlet-hogging transformers anyhow? They must not use the ones they design or they would see the problem.
