77mm UV Lens Filter (Plus+) - Ultra-Slim, 30-Layer Nano-Coated UV Camera Lens Protection

This Urth 67 mm UV Lens Filter feels like an easy yes if you care about protecting your lenses. For me, a good quality filter is non-negotiable. This one is slim and fits nicely without causing any vignetting, and it does not seem to affect image quality at all, which is exactly what I want from a UV filter. The glass and coating feel high quality, and it gives me a lot more confidence when I am shooting outside or tossing my camera into a bag. For the price, it is absolutely worth it to protect both the lens and the investment behind it.

Working very well on my RF 70-200mm L lens. That lens was expensive and I wanted a nice filter to protect against light bumps and scratches. I spent 20 minutes doing before/after tests and could find no negative impact to image quality or flare, even shooting directly into lights. Filter is nice and slim with a minimalist look (very little writing on filter). It has a high quality feel. I would say this is a top quality filter worthy of use on professional lenses. I was impressed enough that I just ordered another for my 24-105L. I have Hoya HMC and B+W MRC 010 for other lenses, and the Urth+ is at least as good if not better. Plus I get to support environmental efforts with Urth. Note: The code to plant the trees on the box flap says to go to Urth website to enter code, but the site says "coming soon". I was able to enter code on the MyGobe website. I guess their rebranding isn't fully complete yet.

I always have trepidation when I order photographic products from Amazon. I ordered a new camera, it was shipped as an open box. I ordered these filters for some new lenses...I always put a UV filter on a new lens as soon as it's out of the box. Cheaper to scratch or crack a UV filter than scratch a lens. This filter has a clarity and sharpness I hadn't seen before in many other filter brands I've tried over the years. And more importantly, they offer good value. And it did ship 'factory fresh'! Perfect. If you're needing a UV filter this is the way to go.

I really like the Urth Plus+ UV filters, bang for the buck is high! The $60 Urth Plus+ is German Glass, ultra-slim and it has 30 layers of coatings, what else could you ask for. I use UV filters on all of my Nikon Lens, mainly for protection and keeping the front element clean for the longterm.

I wanted more of a lens protector than a UV filter and this definitely is built very sturdy and well worth it. The glass looks clear and I feel like my lens is well protected now.

This is my 4th URTH filter. I can’t find a better filter for the money. These filters are on my $1,000+ lenses like my Fujifilm 50mm f1. I’m not going to put anything but a high quality filter on such a Beautiful piece of glass. 40 years as a photographer 10 as a photojournalist I’ve used them all. URTH is my personal go too filter.

Ich verwende den UV-Filter ausschließlich als Schutzglas für die Frontlinse meines Teleobjektivs. Dabei ist es natürlich wichtig, dass die Bildqualität durch das zusätzliche Element nicht beeinträchtigt wird. Bisher sind mir keine störenden Effekte aufgefallen, weshalb ich den Filter wohl behalten werde. Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist erstklassig und das Gewinde lässt sich problemlos verwenden. Der Filter wird in einer ansprechenden Metalldose geliefert, die hervorragend gepolstert ist und ihn sicher schützt. Aufgrund anderer Rezensionen hatte ich mit einer umfangreichen Putzorgie nach dem Erhalt gerechnet, doch er kam blitzblank bei mir an. Top! ...und wenn es stimmt, wird mit dem Erlös auch noch ein Wiederaufforstungsprojekt unterstützt – guter Deal.

Qualche anno fa comprai una macchina fotografica di fascia medio alta insieme a qualche obiettivo usato (essendo un attacco A/minolta non più in uso se ne trovavano di molto buoni a basso prezzo, relativamente) e ai tempi, essendo una persona abbastanza maniacale nel tenere le cose, comprai dei filtri senza pensarci troppo, alcuni obiettivi avevano i loro (vecchi Hoya HD), io mi buttai su gobe poiché le recensioni erano ottime, il packaging ecologico ed il marchio sembrava affidabile. Mai avuto problemi. Nel tempo e con l'esperienza ho iniziato a notare che gli obiettivi con dei filtri peggiori davano problemi vari, aberrazioni, vignetting, perdita di dettaglio etc... quindi iniziai a scattare senza (essendo molto attento e avendo comunque obiettivi di 10-20 anni presi usati), notai comunque che in quelli dove avevo usato i Gobe non notavo questa differenza. Per farla breve ora che ho un po' più di esperienza (pur sempre amatoriale :D) ho preso una lente premium di alto livello ed ho notato che il mondo della fotografia si divide in due: -Chi pensa che paraluce e lente siano già molto protette dalla qualità costruttiva e che mettere un "vetro" aggiuntivo su una lente da 2000€ vanifichi la qualità ingegneristica e di immagine dell'obiettivo -Chi usa solo alcuni filtri per determinati scopi: ND per scatti paesaggistici con alta luminosità e sole diretto, cpl per i riflessi etc... -Chi usa filtri UV, come questo, "fissi" a scopo di protezione della macchina e per filtrare i raggi UV (solo sulle vecchie lenti/macchine, problema quasi inesistente nelle moderne mirrorless). Sinceramente mi rivedo in tutte e tre le categorie, tuttavia c'è sempre la giusta via di mezzo: usare un filtro economico da 10-20€ su un obiettivo da 1000-2000€ è in effetti un peccato in quanto si aggiungono difetti alla qualità di immagine, tuttavia usarne uno di alta qualità, con massima trasparenza e qualità costruttiva nel 99.99% dei casi non compromette la qualità di imamgine ed aggiunge un filtro protettivo non indifferente. A livello di caduta o impatto violento vari test mostrano che i filtri sono delicatissimi e dove si rompono facilmente molte lenti neache si infrangono, tuttavia se si parla di condizioni avverse come sabbia, polvere, schizzi di acqua o altri liquidi etc... avere un vetro aggiuntivo (di alta qualità come questo per non perdere qualità di immagine) vuol dire proteggere completamente l'ottica sottostante e avere la pace dei sensi di prendere un pannino alla bene e meglio di tasca (o per i più avventurosi anche la maglietta) e ripulire la lente, potendo ripartire con gli scatti. Quindi difesa da caduta e danno violento, probabilmente no, da pulviscoli, piccoli incidenti e contatti (persone, bambini, mezzi di trasporto, sabbia, acqua, pioggia etc...), ottima protezione :D Prendendo un filtro di alta qualità come questo si può evitare di dover mettere e togliere in base alla necessità, si mette e ce ne scordiamo per sempre: test specialistici hanno dimostrato che anche croppando l'immagine al 100% nei bordi di un'immagine non c'è perdita di dettaglio, flare e riflessi identici al senza filtro etc... tuttavia i marchi suggeriti per questo genere di filtro di solito sono B+W, Hoya HD ultra ed altri filtri da 120€ l'uno... mentre con Urth (Ex Gobe) mi sono sempre trovato benissimo e devo dire che questo nuovo filtro non fa eccezione: 30 layers di coating, vetro tedesco Schott, dai test fatti fin'ora non vedo differenza anche facendo foto controluce nelle peggiori situazioni! E' il primo urth che prendo, precedentemente i Gobe si distinguevano in 1 peak, 2 peak, 3 peak per i vari livelli (1 amatoriale 3 professionale) di performance e qualità costrutiva, adesso Urth base corrisponde a 1-2 mentre Urth Plus+ corrisponde all'evoluzione (migliorata) dei 3 peak. Per ora questo plus+ è pienamente promosso, il prezzo è il giusto compromesso tra cifre indicibili (120-150€ per b+w o zeiss, che tra l'altro in test professionali neanche rispettano il livello di trasparenza detto nelle descrizioni), ed un filtro cheap economico da 20€ (ovviamente parlo di 77mm di diametro, che tende ad essere più costoso), quindi 60€. Immagino che anche l'urth di base sia eccellente, quello sta a voi, io vi consiglio di spendere in base alla possibilità e al costo della lente, per una lente non zoom da 100-400€ un Urth base andrà benissimo, per le altre categorie di lenti spendete qualche decina di euro in più e non ve ne pentirete. Nel caso in futuro trovassi difetti aggiornerò la recensione, spero vi sia stata di aiuto!

Deberían enviar el producto en una caja. El contenedor metálico del filtro llegó con una abolladura. Filtro perfecto, manejo de envío o paquetería podría mejorar.

Had het al in andere recensies gelezen, daarom eerst 1 besteld ipv meerdere. Als je het filter uit de verpakking haalt zitten er kleine stukjes glimmend spul op het glas van het filter. Denk dat het glassplinters zijn. De meeste zaten aan de lenszijde van het filter. Heb 10 minuten met een blaasbalg en een doekje alles ervan af kunnen krijgen. Hierna lijkt het wel een goed filter met dunne rand. Als het filter niet zoveel splinters zou bevatten zou ik er waarschijnlijk meer kopen. Nu krijgt hij maar 3 sterren.
