Two Pack Nintendo NES Extension Cables (Not Compatible with NES Classic Edition)

I think these are great. I ordered 2 sets about 2 years apart. Both cables worked on my first order, however only one of the two worked on my most recent order. I recommend bypassing any faulty connectors by cutting them off and using the wire lengths to solder into existing NES controllers and joysticks. A little basic soldering and some shrink tubes, and you've got controllers with a 10 foot reach that will NEVER go faulty. Wonderful.I would've given them 5 stars because they are perfect for my needs, but went with only 4 since most people are expecting the connectors to work. If you receive an unworking cable, it's a small matter to exchange it for a working cable. 3 out of 4 have worked in my experience. But be aware, even with working connectors like these, its only a matter of time until they are twisted to the point where they stop working, UNLESS you take the time to solder them directly like I do.

The outer protective casing came apart where it hooks to the connector within just a few minutes of using. Both of the cables had the black outer casing break free from the connectors. This is probably going to cause the wires to eventually break sooner than expected.

In going back to play some NES classics I realized that although I am still young at heart, I am not so young that I am still content to sit on the floor, 3 feet in front of the television. The fact that I no longer have my childhood 13" television and instead have a 73" HDTV probably didn't help.These extension cables were the obvious solution. They work great, and as other reviewers have said, yes the connection can be snug, but that is a plus, in my opinion. I have some extensions for my SEGA Genesis as well that are not so snug and I've had them come unplugged while moving the cord around during an intense Streets of Rage 2 session.. not good!So I welcome the snugness if it means no interruptions while i'm enjoying Kid Nikki, and these extension cables get the job done.

Worked well, but not durable. Wires started coming out of plugs after about 2 weeks of light use. Kids a little rough with them but I was hoping for them to last longer.

I recently upgraded my NES with an HDMI upgrade module so that I could finally play it with my home theater setup. The one problem I ran into was my controllers were too short. I decided to pick this two pack of cable extensions up and get a better reach.These fit into the original ports exactly like the controllers and work as I would expect.Not much else to say they are great for getting that extra bit of reach.

After returning various other NES extension cables that made me fee like I was breaking something every-time I plugged a controller in or took one out, I figured I'd try these to see if they're any better than the crap made by Tomee and RetroBit, and these are PERFECT. They hold the controller connection securely but you don't have to force/jam anything together.Highly recommended, tested both and they worked perfect.

Loose fitting into the nes controller end. Creates a disconnectivity very easily. Maybe some silicone would make this better. The length is great

These things are a live saver for the retro players out there that find it inconvenient using the short NES controller cable length while gaming. If you really needed more than 6 ft, you can literally connect both of these together to one controller and make it a 12 ft. I absolutely love it!
