Excellent Guitar--JS32 HT
I originally purchased a used JS11 but quickly upgraded to the JS32 after some advice a friend. This is an absolutely fantastic guitar. It feels great, sounds great, is very responsive and really rocks.I chose the hard tail over the Floyd Rose tremolo and boy am I glad. I tried reading up on how to tune the FR and it looks like the hard tail is way easier all around. I am not doing much bending or bombing so the security of the tail really adds to the enjoyment. In other words, it stays in tune.I have had it for a full 24 hours and cannot put it down. It sounds great with my low-end tube amp and my mid to low range pedals. The pickups are very detialed and expressive (High Output) and really capture nuances I hadn't heard in the JS11.This is a great guitar and the reasonable price makes it even better. 10/10 would recommend this to any beginner, novice or intermediate guitarist. The selling company was great too. Packed very securely, arrived on time and in great shape and played awesome right out of the box. 10/10 would buy from them again.

Beastly little guitar for the money
I have played and owned many guitars in my life and I think this is great value. I could nitpick. The tuners aren’t fantastic but they hold well enough, nut is low quality but does the job, frets could be finished better but they’re decent with no sharps or buzzes. These are all relatively easy and cheap “fixes”, but I found the guitar playable out the box. There’s a lot to love here. The pickups have enough bite that I don’t feel the need to change them. The bridge is solid. Neck is straight, comfortable and fast. Came well packaged enough that I’m just going to keep it in the box instead of buying a case or bag for now.The quilted maple top with the gloss finish give this guitar a premium look and feel. It might be built in China but it has the heart and soul of a USA Jackson. With a few affordable mods (nut and tuners mainly) this is a great guitar for beginners and even experienced players who are looking for affordability without sacrificing too much on quality.

It plays
I have a room full of mid-level and high-end guitars. Swap out the bridge humbucker for a Seymour Duncan sh-6 trembucker and this guitar will play. It's very light-weight and this hurts sustain. It plays power chords very well and for long hours in rehearsal the light-weight will help. The neck is not well made, flex's a lot, and this guitar will constantly go out of tune.I gave it -1 star for the E string getting stuck under the frets, they are sharp and not well shaped.I gave it another -1 star for having a cheap (fender type) bridge, with a light-weight will cause this guitar to have the worst sustain of all my 15 guitars.Cons:- cheap neck, causes tuning problems- poor neck fabrication, causes fret snags- cheap bridge, causes poor sustain- light-weight, also causes poor sustainThe overall vibrations of the guitar are my problems with it

Plays Well, Black “Burst” is Almost Invisible
Solid electric guitar for the price point. Pick-ups are good and controls are smooth. As always, if you’re a beginner, bring it in to a local shop to get the strings and neck tuned up.Very dissatisfied with the ability to read the “burst” design though. You’re basically buying a basic black electric guitar with a gloss finish. Very hard to see in the majority of lighting situations.Another albeit minor complaint is the packaging. Guitar shipped well in my case, but could potentially be damaged very easily given current packaging standards. (Large rectangular cardboard box, in side is a trapezoidal cardboard box which has foam placed throughout to soften impact and hold the guitar in place.) See photos for more info.

These are NOT quilted maple tops!
Ordered two from two different sources. Placed them together and noticed that the so-called quilt patterns are identical to each other. Fender either found a magical tree, or someone at the factory is gluing the same photo on to the guitar bodies. The “quilted” tops have zero movement under bright lights. These are not quilted maple tops at all. Buyer beware. Fender is either unaware that their vendors are blowing off their own specs, or they know. Either way it means that they profit from a misrepresentation to their consumers. Hey Fender, we’re your customers. We’re guitar players, and we notice these things. And for those wondering, I do know that a quilted maple top for $300 is a hell of a deal. But at least you can be truthful to your customers.

Pretty good with a little work
Outside of a normal setup, the only thing I had to do to make it play was replace the tuners and do a little fret polishing. It’s obviously not on the same level as an MJ or USA made Jackson, but still a very playable metal guitar with a few tweaks.
