Works great for thc oil, might be overkill if you're just hiding oil scent. Oil smoke residue builds up on surfaces pretty easy though, noticed it on my car windows from a pen. This helps with the smoke residue alot, and smell reduction is decent enough as long as you don't chain rip into it. Hitting a bong is still going to have smell from the bong and bowl so having an open window/ air filter in combo makes it alot better. an air filter isnt much different than this other than it has a fan pulling the smoke into a carbon filter, this is just a tube to blow into a different carbon filter that would take the initial staining.

This works really well. When you exhale into the Sploofy, it filters most of the smoke. A very small amount may come out, but not enough to be noticeable. After a little practice, it is easy to use and does exactly what it is supposed to do. It is a bit too large for jean pockets, but it fits perfectly in a jacket pocket, so portability is not an issue for me. There is a small learning curve at first when exhaling into it, but once you get the hang of it, it works consistently. I also have not noticed any lingering smell, which is a big plus. Overall, I am very satisfied with the performance and would recommend it to anyone looking for something reliable.

This thing is magical you can't tell at all and I mean at all that there is any kinda smoke. It catches it all and you don't have the odor of smoke in your place.

I work from home and vape throughout the day. While it doesn’t really leave a smell, it does put out a lot of vapor/smoke that a) can set off fire alarm and b) just not good for overall air quality inside especially for my dogs and plants! So I got tired of always leaving windows cracked open or going outside, and started searching for an easier way to filter out smoke indoors. What I love / Pros - replaceable filters: This feature alone is a HUGE reason why I bought this. Once a filter is used up I just pop a new one in vs buying a whole new Sploofy - easy to use: Filter is easy to put in/out, mouthpiece is pretty comfortable, and super easy to breath through - compact size: easy to travel with and its not bulky/doesnt take up a lot of space when I leave it on my desk while working - Smoke-free vaping: I can vape indoors now without worrying about smoke going everywhere. Breathe smoke through one end, and no smoke comes out the other end! Cons (some of these I’ve found workarounds for I’ll share in a bit) - If you’re using it frequently throughout the day, moisture builds up in the filter pretty quick making it harder to breathe through. If you let too much moisture build up from frequent use without giving it time to dry out, you’ll end up having to let it sit out for at least several hours before it’s dry enough to work properly again - related to the above, the moisture buildup can cause droplets of water to drip out (gross but it DOES help moisture escape quicker lol). Things that have helped minimize moisture buildup in my filters and therefore last longer - Always place Spoofy upside down when it’s not being used (mouthpiece side on flat surface). This helps the moisture/ water droplets escape quicker aka filter won’t clog up as fast (I put mine on a paper towel). Once I’m completely done using my Spoofy for the day, I repeat same process but take the filter out completely so it airs out even more - pat a paper towel firmly on the mouthpiece side of filter a few times to help soak up even more moisture. Do this regularly during/after smoking sessions. - ALWAYS HAVE REPLACEMENT FILTERS ON HAND - Before I knew about the moisture issue/ how to prevent it, I literally couldn’t breathe anything through my 1st filter after 2-3 days and was so disappointed bc I though the filter was already “used up”. Luckily I didn’t throw it away - tried it (randomly) again after a few days of drying out and it was good as new! So when my filter needs a SERIOUS dry out, I just pop in a new filter while the old one dries out :) Eventually you’ll have to completely replace the filters obviously but this is a great hack for moisture issues. NOTE: again I use my Spoofy primarily for vaping which I not only do frequently throughout day, but it produces way more moisture than other smoking methods. So the “moisture” issue may not be a big problem for most ppl :)

I was using a pretty popular other brand of filter for a long time, and they've started to go downhill. A ton of smoke was just blowing right through them, but this literally doesn't let anything through. I can't believe how it just catches it all, and it's a really good price relative to other brands - great product.

If you’re actually using this for consistent daily gardening and not just here and there it’s not really a great value. If you live in a property that’s not flower powered, this absolutely reduced both smell and smoke but it does clog from resin quickly if your flower is worth anything. It’s more ideal than a smoke buddy because it is actually replaceable but buying a 3 pack of filters weekly is pricey, can we make them a bit bigger? Add more moisture absorption or maybe redesign to filter so it can handle the resin better? Airflow just stops mid bowl and it’s a real lung killer.

I got this because a portable extractor fan thing that claimed to remove smells and smoke was pretty awful. I tried this and it really works, normally I can smell immediately when I come back into a room if there's been any vaporization done with herbal flower and there is nothing with this. I have a medical prescription that requires me to use a vaporization device which works. But the problem is, the aroma in the room travels upstairs and is not nice for other people to deal with. This device has solved all problems, it really does work for removing the smell completely. I'm really pleased because it means I don't have to try and stand up at an open door to have my medicine. You can see on the video how it works for masking any smoke/steam from a vaporization device. I pinch my nose while I'm blowing through it because you can hear from the video that I have a bit of trouble breathing and pinching my nose means nothing comes out when I blow slowly through the device It's a really good price too so I can change the filter very cheaply or even buy a new device for much cheaper than any portable extractor I originally got it to use it when I can't stand very well but I have taken to using it whenever I have my medicine, it's so much easier for me and there is no smell to worry about I'm pleased with my purchase

So far I have been very impressed with how well it has dealt with both vapour and smoke leaving no visible trace or smell. The one caveat is that to get the proper effects you need to ensure you have made a good seal with your mouth to avoid some smoke/vapour escaping from the side, as long as you take a moment before exhaling and don’t try to empty your lungs too sharply it works wonderfully and is very easy to use. I will definitely continue using it and buying replacement filters for the future.

Works fantastic for vaping! Which it should since vapor is much denser than smoke. And while normal vaping is still unproven by Health Canada to cause any known lung injury (not cases where home-made vape juice was used), it is in fact quite toxic to cats. Can cause a number of side effects in cats, included respiratory distress. Now my one kitty has developed asthma and while it may or may not be caused by vaping, I see no need to expose my cats to the 2nd hand vapor and nicotine. And with this Sploofy, I won't anymore! And it's good for my house too as the vapor sticks to walls so this is extra value
