L'MS Professional 12 Hole Ocarina Ceramic Alto C Ocarina Flute Color Dark Brown

Hi,First time reviewer here.I am just getting into ocarinas after recently attending my states Renaissance Festival. There I bought a blue ceramic 8 hole that cost me over 40$ and is horridly out of tune.Not wanting to quit because of the instrument quality I shopped online and found this beauty.I was wary at first buying an ocarina online but the pricing on this piece made it an affordable mistake if it happened to be one.It wasn't!I love this ocarina!The weight feels good in your hands and once you tie the strap on comfortably it rests in a ready to play position.The dark reddish brown glaze is just like the picture and the notes sound very well ,even higher notes don't have that "airy" undertone I get from the Ren fest piece. Overall I'm entirely satisfied with my purchase and will buy more from this company once I've gotten more fluent with this pitch.Thank you for reading,enjoy the music.

It sounds okay but it got chipped only half an hour after I got it when I accidentally dropped it 3 inches. I got to see it in mint condition for 30 minutes.

Sounds good for the price. I like the weight that you just won't get with a plastic ocarina. The strap that comes with it is worthless. It's not comfortable and if your head is larger than a cantaloupe, aka you've made it past preteen, you'll struggle taking it on and off even fully extended. The picture doesn't show it will, but it's a dark reddish brown, and it looks a lot better than picture would have you believe. Would definitely recommend as a starting instrument.

The instrument sounds alright, it's not the highest quality sound, but you get what you pay for. It came in a box that is used for the Legend of Zelda ocarina they also sell, so when I got it I was confused, but this was inside so that's nice to know. I comes with a strap, a small booklet of like 4 songs like happy birthday and stuff and the fingering chart is on the box itself. It feels very nice when you're holding it. It is a little bit big for my hands but I can still get my fingers to go over everything.Overall it's pretty good for your first ocarina and it's not that bad.I also got this at a discount for a riveting review, I'd put more details but I haven't tried it too much since they're too many people in the house that would possibly annoy.

Beautifully crafted and precious instrument!It sounds like a recorder but if you want to live your LOZ childhood memories this is the way to go!It does a have a much richer sound than the recorder though.

I like this Ocarina mostly due to the color. Someone wrote that the higher notes were shrill, must just be his. Mine plays fine. I will however state that there is little to no difference between L'MS and Ocarina Wind products, so really your price variance is just on the appearance of the instrument, and not it's performance or quality. Shop around and make sure you like the way your Ocarina looks because they will all sound pretty much the same.

Finish is very nice. I have several ocarinas, and this one is unplayable. Can't get any of the high 3 notes, so in essence, it's worthless. I own one from StL Ocarina and two from OcarinaWind. The OWind ocarinas are superior to this one for about the same price. The StL ocarina is best, but pricier. So I guess you get what you pay for.After note: I guess since a fourth of the tones are unplayable, they refunded a fourth of the cost. Now that's funny!

It's not a bad quality instrument but I'm returning it due to the extremely strong smoke smell. I understand it's not a defect and some like it for the traditional method of firing the clay but it causes me to have extreme allergies.

This is a beautiful instrument, very comfortable and easy to play, and sounds fantastic. I have other ocarinas, but this is my favourite. It's not a toy, and it is a bit fragile. I broke the tip off of mine, but it still works perfectly.

sounds beuno, came with a pretty necklace to hang it off, but it broke, but the ocarina is top quality.

The product is beautiful and has a nice weight to it; the top three or so notes sound off though.

sound is very good, love the feel. a bit heavy to carry around the neck I will change the cord for a wider band.
