Traxxas latrax prerunner
I have burnt through 3 motors and a spur gear on this prerunner and about 10 spur gears on my sst but this one is handling the abuse of being ran hard. It's seems to be quieter the any of the other that I have purchased

Amazing!
Works wonderfully! At first I was thinking it was going to be louder than the factory gear, but I squirt a little grease on it and the buzzing disappeared and it runs perfect!

So far it’s good.
At first it made a horrible whining sound. After putting battery and some grease it sounds normal. Maybe even quieter than plastic. It punches great. The power transfer is smooth and it’s just about the same speed. I need to hook up my bearings that will make it faster. I will update. It’s a drop in for my Traxxas Prerunner.

Works great with a little motor adjustment!
I needed to take the part off of the motor that doesn’t allow for adjustment. If it would have been plug and play I’d have given it 5 stars. But once I adjusted the gear engagement with the motor and applied some grease to the teeth it’s working great! Definitely a must have if you run your Latrax hard!

Great upgrade!
I got this for an old losi mini t 1.0. Fit perfectly, and made the gear noise actually quieter! Just make sure to use some grease.

Great durable gear with perfect mesh
This meshes perfectly with the Traxxas pinion gear and only makes a little bit of extra noise vs the stock plastic gear. I use it in a Latrax Prerunner with a 10 tooth pinion. I recommend adjusting the mesh like this: Remove the little oval metal piece from the motor mount. Loosen both motor screws and roll a folded piece of paper through the spur and pinion while pushing the gears together. Then tighten the screws. I also tried a single layer of paper but it was too tight and there was a lot of noise. Also I lubricate mine with Pedro's Chainj bike lube

Not initially impressed
I just installed this today and I have some gripes with this.1.it makes the car a LOT louder and gives it this obnoxious whining noise2. It is NOT just a drop in. I had to sand down the bushing/spacer so that the gear would line up with the pin hole in the drive shaft. You could grind part of the gear but I figured the spacer would be safer.3. You had to change the angle of the motor so that the gears mess properly, which is a pain with how it is setup in the latrax rally4. I upgrade my rally so now ALL gears are now metal and it seems like the stock brushed motor doesn’t have the torque to always start it up, it seems to have acceleration issues on occasion now.The good thing is I plan on upgrading my motor/esx and I’m hoping my metal gears will keep things from stripping out.
