Yes, I had other dippers, but all the women on YouTube were raging about how nice this dipper was in canning their food. It has a hook on the side too, so you don’t lose it in the pot when you let go of it. I was sceptical and boy howdy was I wrong. I am of a mind to throw out all my other dippers. This is just great and somehow the way it is made it feels ergo dynamically perfect for me. I am right handed, but I bet it will be the same way for lefties.

I know what you are thinking. That’s pretty darn expensive for a ladle. That’s exactly what I thought, too. But I bought it anyway and WOW. What an awesome tool for my canning kitchen!!!!It’s bigger than I expected - in a very good way. It’s heavier and sturdier than I expected - also in a very good way. And it’s nice looking. The fact that it hangs on the edge of the stock pot is brilliant and makes my canning jobs SOOO much easier AND easier to clean up after!! I love this thing and highly recommend it!

Very useful over plain laddles for canning

If you have a straight-edged pot, the hook on the ladle will work perfectly. If your pot has a lip around the edge, so that a lid would fit inside the lip, then the hook on the ladle will not work. Otherwise it's a great utensil for ladling food, home canning, etc.

Fits jars well, both regular and wide mouth. Easy to fill for canning. Cleans up in dishwasher.
