no I ordered for me and my husband and I'm fat too. Same as you couldn't button.

Can i hook the bag to a caribener?

There was no way to do that with the packaging I received. Each poncho was individually packaged inside a larger package. The packaging was a very thin plastic. Only slightly heavier than a Saran wrap. Once they are out of the package it would be very difficult to fold them up flat enough to get them back in. We didn't even try.

i'm 5 2- 128 lbs. will i be overwhelmed? i plan to wear over a jacket but don't want to drag it along like a plastic gown...

It will probably sit closer to your ankles, should be fine. I am 5’ 5” and it hit upper calf on me.

no really, I am 5.9 and it covers below my knee.
