So-So
This slicer must take a lot of practice to get good results. I have tried it on a few watermelons with mixed results...mostly bad. And on smaller melons like honeydews and muskmelon, don't even waste your time. The melon ballers that came with it do work well though.

Fun kitchen tool
This is a fun little tool to have in the kitchen. There's a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun. It's comfortable to grip and cuts through the watermelon nicely. I think it would work well with other large melons too. It's less messy than cutting with a knife. It came with a melon baller which is fun to use. Both clean up nicely in the dishwasher. This set would make a nice hostess gift or house warming gift.*Disclaimer: I received this product at a discount, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are 100% my own.

No More Sticky Hands.
Pros+++ Creative: Novel idea for an otherwise messy fruit.+++ Utility: The ability to manage the watermelon to maintain in full portion control. Slices with ease.Con--- Design: Hard to know what it's used for if not familiar with the product.--- Grip Strength: Melon meat has a tendency to slide out if not enough pressure is applied.Overall the product met my expectations for a no mess way to serve watermelon.Disclosure: "I was provided this product at a heavily discounted price for testing and my fair and unbiased evaluation.”

Disappointing product
A melon baller is a melon baller.. so that is fine.. But I had never seen or used the watermelon tool, so I was clueless as to how it worked, as directions are not included. So then I try a few things and realize the small wire at the tip is not even soldered together on both sides and this explains why it won't do what it should be doing. So as far as I'm concerned, it's not worth it .. because it's either a defective product or it doesn't seem to be a well made item.
