Strong and Beautifully made!!
Absolutely beautiful noter!!! Definitely as described It gives a different sound to my dulcimer when using this noter. Excellent noter sound is definitely louder with more of a twang sound than without, packaging was very well too only! I wish it were a little cheaper or even offered free shipping, as I'm not a "Amazon prime member," but I went ahead knowing I probably will have this awhile. Otherwise a very strong and beautifully made noter!! Thank you

Perfect accessory for my new dulcimer
I’m a beginner at dulcimer and after playing for a few weeks I thought I would try a noter for a bit of help with the fretting...my thumb was getting sore from pressure on the strings. This noter is very elegant looking-crystal clear and petite! It was packed carefully with protective foam and shipped quite promptly. I can’t find a thing to complain about. I hope the noter helps me progress in accomplishing my musical goals.

Disappointing
I tried using it with my dulcimer but it knocks again the fret markers and ruins the music, so I returned it.

A beautiful clear glass noter for beginner to advanced players.
I love the sound of the noter on the melody strings and reminds me of the wind whistling through the trees up in the mountains. The noter is easy to hold onto and slides and glides with little effort. Experimenting maybe with a dulcimer capo putting the player in other interesting and melodic tunings, the journey continues and your clear glass noter leads the way!

Excellent Quality!
Excellent transaction! Shipped fast - ordered Nov. 3rd, received Nov. 5th. Packaged well! It produces a very clear, bright tone on my dulcimer - it handles well and of course slides easily creating that continuous flow of the melody as you move from one fret to another. I plan to share this with other dulcimer players so they can see the difference in the sound produced by the pyrex noter (bright, louder) versus that of the wooden noter (more mellow). The pyrex noter gives you another option on the type of sound you want to produce when playing. Thanks for offering a product that is of good quality and also at a good price.

A Family Business with a Personal Touch
The Appalachian (or Mountain) dulcimer is an instrument with a rich and proud history. The locals of these mountain towns of its birth were known to use almost any long, cylindrical object as a noter (even the small bones of animals). This being said, I'm sure that many of these locals would have used a pyrex glass noter if it had been available to them. As a musician, I would argue that most noters have a unique quality to their sound on a dulcimer that is worthy of note; but for this Hall noter, I would say that it is the clarity of sound that distinguishes it from the more common wooden noters. This being said, it was also the service provided by the Hall Crystal Flutes company that earned this 5-Star rating. My package included a personal note, signed by a Ms. Jenny Hall, sincerely requesting feedback and promising a "speedy resolution" of any issues I had with my product. I cannot prove nor disprove this claim, as I am thrilled with my purchase, but this personal touch blends well with the rich history of the instrument which it was designed for.

Little Work of Art
Beautifully made. Much quieter than its wooden counterparts. The design is much prettier than a photo can show. Would be interesting to see if these folks could make them with a flattened back, round front.

Well made; ergonomic
This is a beautifully-made and easy-to-hold noter. Keep in mind that, as clearly explained by the manufacturer, this will not replace your regular noter. If you're just starting out using a noter to play the dulcimer, you'll want to get used to playing with a wooden noter that doesn't make a noise when hitting the frets like glass tends to; then you'll be ready to try this noter to add variety to your playing.
