I love these tires ..price value quality ..however ..when they arrived they are almost 16 months old from the date of manufacture THEY ARE OLD TIRES..which means the manufacturers warranty is that much shorter ..as the manufacturer warranties the tire from date of manufacturer notdate sold ...therefore ..you have a tire that is older unsafe shorter tire life ..I addressed this important issue to amazon and they are looking into itfrom their suppliers ...who knows where this tire was sitting outside ////inside a hot cargo container on the docks in the rain .........a tire that is lessthen 9 months or newer on a shelf is acceptable .tires have a DATE CODE FOR A REASON . from DOT.highway safety...BEWARE.....AMAZON NEEDS TO check date codes from their suppliers and establish guidelines as to what is the acceptable age of a tire they will sell to protect themselves and the cosumer ..EXAMPLE not to sell a passenger/tire older then 7 months from a vendor or manufacturer.......not to sell any motorcycle /scooter tire older then 5 months as these tires are more critical on a 2 wheel vehicle .......PERIOD no manufacturer wants a return on old tires because they loose money ...BUT ARENT WE TALKING ABOUT CONSUMER SAFETY HERE ...NOT TIRE COMPANY PROFITSand amazon looses money on RETURNS ..so its in their best interest to get these GUIDELINES ENFORCED .AND ESTABLISHED.........
