Modern Lilypad Ceiling Light Semi Flush Mount Fixture Chrome 30" Wide Kitchen Bedroom - Possini Euro Design

We put this light in the dining area over the table. We have sort of low ceilings and this fixture instantly made our ceilings appear taller. The light is so unusual that all our guests instantly get fascinated by it and ask us were we got it and comment on how different and beautiful it looks. I hooked it up to lutron's digital dimmer, so we can set the light an any brightness, depending on the mood or time of day. At full brightness it is indeed very bright and for our small dining area can be a bit too bright. When the light slowly fades in or out it just looks stunning. Was relatively easy to assemble - no complaints here. I used the attached layout map for the pads and it worked perfectly (there are 3 lilypad sizes - small (no light inside), medium and large). The smallest pads do not light up - too small to house a light bulb, but this is fine, because if all of the pods lit up - the thing would be so bright at full power - it would be impossible to look at. The non-lit pods offer additional dimension and texture to the light fixture.Overall - one of the most unusual lights I have ever seen. Will definitely get you compliments from your guests.

This product isn't safe and the seller has refused a refund. We liked the look of this lamp and had it hanging over our main dining table for several months. However, even though we properly installed the light bulbs, a light bulb suddenly crashed down on our dinner table one day, shattering small shards of glass EVERYWHERE. With a young child in our house, thank goodness no one got hurt or was sitting at the table at the time. After this, we were scared to sit the table. We resorted to taping each bulb to the light as a precaution but then I thought to myself "this is crazy to have to tape light bulbs to the light and that our enitre family is scared to sit at our main table because of this light!".After contacting the seller and Amazon, no one would issue a refund since it was outside of the return window. I would have thought the seller would be more concerned about our safety and the risk of liability Guess not, now that they already have our $. Because the seller doesn't stand by their product, the light is now sitting in our garage

Quality of parts: (4/5). The chrome looks like typical China-plate. Will wait for the future to see how well this stands up to time. Chrome pitting would be sad.Installation: (3/5). MAKE SURE you put the glass on AFTER you install the fixture to the ceiling (if your doing this yourself. Otherwise, good luck! Glass bulbs are tight (hope the lights don't go out soon). Extra glass is included (there are three size, extra small and medium) - as I am sure these break. Extra lights as well! Some glass touches each other. Wash your hands well before doing this.Use: (4/5). This is insanely bright. Hospital grade bright. I don't have a dimmer (but, will be investing in one soon). Its so bight, its blinding. I am also sure this is a slight power hog (for your typical light fixture). However, the dimmer switch should not be a turn off.Price: (3/5). I think this is over-priced, but hey, its unusual, interesting, and unique.Overall: (4/5). Its smaller than you think. 8 foot 2 inch ceiling and it looks a bit smaller than expected. Also, the orientation is not centered, so its hard to find that "right place" on the ceiling. If your like me, and installed the glass prior to mounting on the wall, this is a huge headache. I may update this once I change a bulb...this may be a huge pain.

I love it! I replaced a cheap, generic, builders-grade, 5-candle chandelier hanging from an unattractive chain in my dining room with this beautiful, decorative and unobtrusive fixture. I had it professionally installed by an electrician. I rated it 4 stars for easy to install because, while the wiring and mounting were easy, the placing of the globes was a bit tedious. It provides a tremendous amount of light so you’ll definitely want a dimmer switch. It worked perfectly with the switch that I had already installed with the old chandelier. I have 10 foot ceilings with an open floor plan. The flush mounting of this chandelier increases the openness of my home making it feel even more spacious. I get many compliments from friends and family when they visit. I’ve had it for over a year and I still love it. I consider it one of the five best changes I’ve made to my house. No regrets.

It's pretty but much smaller than it looks. It arrived with a bent piece so jamming the light cover on that piece left me really anxious. We were able to get it on and it looks pretty as described in pics but the bulbs all started burning out within a week of installing it! We will order new bulbs and it will be fine, but disappointing given the high cost!
