These work well, but burn very hot
I've tested this with a couple different types of soy wax and containers. They work well and are easy to set, but they burn quite a bit hotter than traditional wicks. Most of my containers need two standard wicks to create a solid wax pool. I tried two (two doubled wood wicks) in the same container and it got so hot it shattered the glass coaster it was sitting on. A single (doubled wood wick) is also pretty hot, but my containers seem to radiate enough heat away to prevent damage to surfaces underneath. Do some testing first with these ones to make sure you have the right number of wicks for the container. They are smokeless once they get going and have a good wax pool.

Flames too strong, hazardous indoors, and burns off candle in no time
The flames are too big for scented candles intended to be used indoors. when you blow it up, it stays lit for a while. The fire is also so strong that it burned down a candle in no time when regular wax wigs would allow expensive candles to last for a week.

Do not stay lit
They do not stay lit . Very disappointing because I sell candles and almost all of my customers have told me they cannot get them to stay lit .

Awesome!
Awesome! I’m new to these candle wicks, and I honestly was more sure what to expect. This kit was the best deal, and came with everything I needed. They worked great for my beeswax candles, and I’d order them again.

Terrible product. Doesn’t keep lit.
I’ve never had such issues until this product. None of the candles I made would stay lit. I am not new to candle making. I was purchasing these to finish up a large order. Now I’ve wasted hundreds of dollars in materials just for a bunch of candles whose wood wicks do not burn anything like what I have used in the past. I trouble shooted for hours and never kept a light longer than 5 minutes. Don’t waste your time and money like I did. I am beyond angry with whoever makes and sells this.

Will not stay lit
I have a small candle business so this is important I just small vessels for my candles so used one wick. It will not stay lit, I how have to remelt all of my candles to either replace them or add another wick. Two wicks does not make sense, just make them thicker. My vessels are smaller than the recommended in the description. What a pain. And no I did not hear any crackling as the wick burned straight down to the candle in one second.

Testing is important!
These are different from most of the wooden wicks you'll find available on Amazon. Most of those wooden wicks are made of thin wood vaneer, this is made froma sine strip of soft wood (light mahogany, according to the webpage description). True, it does not require soaking in oil and it does crackle a little bit (I tested it in 100% soy wax and 8% fragrance oil). The pictures are a little misleading. I was hoping to receive a double layered wick (i.e. a thin booster wood strip attached to a single wooden wick), but it is only a single layer wick. They did, hkwever provide everything else in the picture, like the wick stickers and metal sustainer tabs. The instructions do recommend doubling up wicks, but state that just 1 wick can be used for vessels smaller than 3.5". I have a 2.8" concrete vessel and with just 1 wick, it does not quite reach the edges of the container within 4 hrs. As such, the hot hrow of my candle wasn't as good with this wick, as it should have been. If you have a glass or metal jar, it would probably work fine with just 1 wick since those materials conduct heat better.I haven't had issues with lighting it or having the flame go out, but overall I'm not sure that this wick is the right one for my candles. It is worth trying though!
