Polaroid Splash Waterproof Camera

We were going on a Caribbean cruise and I wanted to try an underwater camera. I didn’t want those disposable film ones because they only take 27 pictures and you don’t know how they came out until you develop them. I saw this and thought I’d try it. It does kinda look like a toy, but honestly I’m pretty pleased with the photos. We had waves wherever we went, so I was bobbing up and down so they’re not pristine. Also they look better once uploaded on your computer with some simple editing. Others mentioned the door not latching properly but I think that’s user error. You DO need to be sure of closing the door to the SD card/charging port and I wish it was designed a bit sturdier, because make SURE latch it closed. The camera floats; it’s very easy to use; very portable; and it takes very decent pictures. I love it

I bought two of these cameras for my daughters to take to overnight camp since they couldn't bring iPhones to use as a camera. It is too late for me to return them since they were both gone for a month. These are not inexpensive cameras, but I still didn't have the highest expectation, but they didn't even come close to that low bar. Both girls took still and video. All the video is unwatchable and it is not from their skills at taking video. I have been watching their videos since they started using an old iPhone 3GS and they know how to hold the camera reasonable still. This video jumped all over and frames are just plain missed leading to choppy playback. The picture is grainy as well. I confirmed and the video says it is recording 1920 x 1080 @ 30fps and it saves as an AVI. Almost every picture is blurry. They were shot at 4896x3672 and it says most of them were f2.8. The problem there is likely the 1/15 or 1/25 exposure time they cameras were choosing. They never went in the water so I can't say how they did with waterproofing, but it doesn't matter. These things are total crap. I can see why polaroid has collapsed over the years. Don't waste your money on this product, even for your kids. For just a few dollars more you can get a much better actual camera or find an old iPhone which will run circles around this thing.

To me Polaroid is a staple when it comes to photography. I thought it would be fun to order this neat little underwater camera to take along with us for this coming camping season. As soon as I saw Polaroid had this I ordered. I have so many pictures from our past years but not many from when we go to the beach. As I am afraid something will happen to my phone so I usually dont bring it with us. This year will be much different now that I have this handy dandy waterproof camera. It is pretty easy to operate with only 3 buttons. The top one is for power, and the the other 2 are up and down toggle/zoom buttons. This camera can take pictures and videos. It does require a micro sd card to store all the memories. The sd card goes right in right next to the charging port. It's an 18mp camera, the photos aren't professional quality however this camera allows me to take pics where I normally wouldn't be able to so ill take whatever it gives. They aren't horrible either by any means. I will see if I can upload a couple I took of my pup. They are not underwater pictures because its not quite warm enough for swimming. Maybe underwater will look better. Either way I am thrilled to have this to play with this beach season.

Super durable and easy to use. My kids use it in the pool and we recently took it to the waterpark at Six flags. It's very durable and takes pretty decent pictures and video. I wish it had dual screens so I can see what I'm taking pics of when we're doing family selfies but otherwise good camera. And great price! Watch for deals. I had it in my cart for a while and surprise! The price dropped $10! ($59.99) Learn how to use it before you take it out though because once you're out is kinda hard to see the icing on the buttons to know what to do.

I purchased two of these cameras for my children to enjoy during the summer, both 9 years of age. After our first use in a pool, one of the two had visible water intrusion and will no longer turn on. I assumed that maybe we might have done something wrong but it's a simple device with only one cover and it was definitely installed correctly. I reached out to the manufacturer and haven't received any response. Not only am I out the money for the camera but it also destroyed a SD card that I purchased separately. The camera does not come ready to use, you have to install an SD card. If the manufacturer would have responded to my email or simply offer a telephone number I can call I would have rated this a little differently, but since I can do nothing with this camera I think it deserves the least possible rating and I would advise that not only do consumers stay clear but Amazon should reconsider selling a product on their platform that doesn't offer any customer support or manufacturer warranty help.

I cant speak for its waterproofing yet, but as a camera its 2010's okay. There are alot better cameras for the price. Its not better than your phone but at the same time its not your phone you would be taking underwater so who knows. Its a camera with a specific purpose and probably the best beater camera you can get and not worry about. Seems durable but I have not tested if it is.

For the money this is a great value!! Super light weight and seems to be very sturdy! Easy to use - make sure to format the disc before use! Photos are great!

Excellent Underwater Camera

Already have it , really its a good value for the same configuration 👍, im working in water sports activities and it help us really using it to take pictures to our customers and transfer it to them, really a good product with reasonable price .

We took it on holiday and used it in the shallows for the first time today and the screen has fogged up and there is water inside. Doesn’t work.

Don’t buy it
