Incipio CommandKit Wireless Smart Light Bulb Adapter with Dimming, WiFi Enabled Smart Home Automation Lighting System Adapter with Apple HomeKit Compatible App

Purchased with UV blacklights to control them through Homekit. Kinda sketchy pairing initially but the reset button made it a little less painful. Followed the instructions from one of the reviews someone left and it worked like a charm! (Thanks Guy!)

UPDATE:The lights stopped working about 4 months back, The connected lights were just not turning on. Don't know If it was some update that messed it up or something else. I was lazy to get them and have them reset since I still had 3 lights on the ceiling. Today while trying to reset, the smart bulb fixture isn't resetting !!! Tried on all 3 and they all fail to reset. So I have lemons with me right now and since these come with 1 year limited warranty, they are good for nothing but to trash them !!!=======================In pics:1. The right row of 3 lights is the Incipio CommandKit wireless Smart bulb, the left row of 3 lights is the iDevices smart bulb2. The 2 Motion sensors that work with the lights to turn them On and Off3. The ambient lights on the (in my opinion) better iDevices smart bulb.Pros:1. It works well when it works well.Cons:1. Works well rarely. If you do get it to work well, DO NOT turn off the main electrical switches. There is no guarantee it will reconnect back when you turn the switch on. Only use the Siri controls or the Home app to turn On / Off the bulbs.Workarounds so that you are not turning On / Off the main electrical switches:1. Once you have the smart bulb holder working reliably, use motion sensors to automatically turn light On or Off. Thats what I have done in my living room. I have 2 Eve Motion sensors on two corners of the living room / kitchen such that any motion event triggered by either of them will turn on the living room lights, and a "CLEAR" event triggered by both sensors together will turn off the living room lights.Better alternatives:iDevices Bulb sockets go for about the same price. I bought 3 of them and had no issues pairing, and have not had any connection issues with them yet. Also, the iDevices Bulb sockets have ambient led lights built into them (I use them as night lights), so you essentially get two for the price of 1. The app was pretty average - got it working still, so didn't mind. But now it is broken, just slightly more than a year, so I can't claim the warranty anymore. The light bulb won't stop blinking. Can't believe it only lasted for this long...

This performed well and in my caseworks with a Philips motion detector and Apple home kit to operate the light in my utility room.

The one I received had clearly been opened and returned, not surprising because the included instructions are terrible. Ignore them. Here’s what to do:1. Unplug or turn off the lamp where you want to install this.2. Remove the bulb.3 Screw in the Incipio adapter, then screw the bulb into the Incipio adapter.4. Plug in/ turn on your lamp. The included instructions omit this step. If it doesn’t have power it’s definitely not going to work.5. DO NOT download the Incipio CommandKit app. It’ll just confuse you and it’s not needed.6. Your bulb should be lit and the little blue LED Should be flashing. If not, press the small circular button on the side of the adapter. The bulb should light and the LED should flash. If not, did you forget step 4?7. Open the Home app on your iOS device. Touch the + icon on the upper right of your screen, then touch “Add Accessory”8. Scan the setup code. It’s printed on the instructions and on the side of the adapter.Pros- it works (at least mine does) and its the cheapest way to add a bulb to HomeKit.Cons- it’s bulky and may not fit where you want to use it. The included instructions and app are confusing.

This Wi-Fi smart bulb adapter/socket has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The firmware updates which must be done using Incipio’s “CommandKit” iOS app, is NO LONGER available in the Apple App Store, and per Incipio’s customer support, it has not been in the App Store for the passed 4 years!! So while you may get this thing paired, it will not be stable in your iOS HomeKit as it can not be updated. The unit I received would not stay paired in HomeKit. Why would Amazon allow this product, which is advertised to come with a free support app (CommandKit), which it does NOT, and be HomeKit compatible, which it is NOT? Very frustrating.

I have a 5 of these in my house, well I had five. I am now down to 3 working units. I have had them about 6 months. One is completely unresponsive and the other causes the light to flicker and then stops responding. They are also difficult to program or reprogram. Additionally they do not like 5ghz wifi networks.

This was super easy to connect, and works great around my house. I love all the programmable features!!

Es una pena que solo funcione con Apple, lo cual lo deja en desventaja con otras marcas . Manejarlo con el iPhone se vuelve muy complicado algunas veces funciona y otras (muchas) no. Tuve que comprar otra marca que funciona con Android .

Ich kann die bisherigen negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Habe den Dimm-Adapter nun seit einigen Wochen im Einsatz und bisher keiner Probleme festgestellt. Auch die Steuerung über Siri funktioniert echt gut! Insgesamt ist das Incipio Gerät eine guter Bestandteil meines Apple HomeKit Systems und lässt sich gut mit anderen HomeKit Geräten Verbindungen und kombinieren. So kann das Licht eingeschalten werden wenn die Wohnung betreten wurde, oder die Sonne gerade untergegangen ist. Die Möglichkeiten mit Homekit sind sehr vielfältig.

Tuve que devolver 3 veces el producto porque salían defectuosos y los que funcionaban no lo hacían adecuadamente, pésima integración con HomeKit, uso varios productos que soportan HomeKit y en general todos funcionan de maravilla en especial los philips hue lamentablemente estos adaptadores no cumplieron con lo que esperabaCabe mencionar que Amazon en todo momento me apoyo con los reembolsos por lo que puedo decir que el Servicio de Amazon es el Mejor pero el producto es el peor que he comprado en la plataforma

Anscheinend lässt sich die Lampenfassung nicht mit anderen HomeKit Apps hinzufügen. Zur Einrichtung scheint Icipio's CommandKit zwingend erforderlich zu sein. CommandKit ist nicht für das iPhone 6 (und größer) optimiert, die App wird also skaliert dargestellt. Kein gutes Zeichen, aber zur einmaligen Einrichtung wohl ausreichend.Anschließend suche ich nach einer Möglichkeit, ein neues Gerät hinzuzufügen. Dazu zwingt mich CommandKit, mein bestehendes HomeKit »Zuhause« mit einer Postadresse(!) zu ergänzen; ein Eintrag zum Bundesstaat ist ebenfalls erforderlich. Anschließend finde ich eine Möglichkeit, ein neues Accessory hinzuzufügen. Die Fassung wird angezeigt! Nun wird mein eigenes WLAN angezeigt, dann jedoch beginnt ein etwas zwei Minuten andauernder Suchvorgang, der mir etliche WLAN-Netze anzeigt, mit welchen ich vor Wochen einmal verbunden war … »Dieses Zubehör wird konfiguriert, um eine Verbindung zu DIRECT-WCCLX-3300 SERIES herzustellen«. OK. Den ebenfalls kryptischen Zubehörname darf ich noch ändern. Anschließend werde ich nach dem Passwort zu dem o.g. WLAN gefragt. Leider isses nicht meins. Ich habs auch nie ausgewählt. Das war die Kurzfassung. Ich habe 2,5 Versuche gestartet. Das reicht. Geht zurück.Zur Hardware: Die Lampenfassung ist etwas klobiger, als sie auf den Fotos wirkt. Der Ein-Aus-Schalter hat keinen fühlbaren Druckpunkt.PS: Habe kürzlich auch ein Elgato Eve Energy (Steckdosenschalter) gekauft. Das Setup ging einfach und schnell. Die Elgato Eve App ist auch gelungen.

Ich hatte mich sehr auf das Produkt gefreut. Leider ist es nicht möglich, den Adapter mit der zugehörigen "CommandKit" App im heimischen WLAN anzumelden. Ich kenne mich gut mit Netzwerken und auch iOS aus und habe alles nur mögliche probiert. Zeitaufwand zum Versuch der Inbetriebnahme ca eine Stunde, dann hab ich aufgegeben.Da ist irgendwas mächtig schief gelaufen bei der Produkterstellung/Veröffentlichung. Sehr schade weil eigentlich eine prima Idee mit der schaltbaren Lampenfassung.Ich nutze eine FritzBox 7490.
