Useful book for my daughters college class

This book is fully comprehensive and will teach you everything you need to know about reading and making industry prints. If you are interested in becoming a competent CNC machine operator, this book will get you there and beyond. The chapters are neatly organized with a focus on the basics up to the most advanced concepts in print reading and drawing. There are many references to modern CAD software that will assist you in bridging the gap between traditional blueprints and modern technology. The book comes with 20+ full size prints of increasing complexity to help build your print reading skills. These prints are separated from the book and organized in a folder for convenience. There are many references to online resources that you can enjoy to enhance your understanding even further. Every chapter contains numerous activities and quizzes to solidify the lesson material. All in all, Print Reading for Industry 11th edition is the premier resource for students and hobbyists who want to get the most out of their trade. Highly recommend.

As the author, Ryan K. Brown, I wanted to add a review that promotes a new feature of the 11th edition that is not necessarily evident in the product description. This 11th edition continues the tradition of two real industry prints at the end of each unit, and a packet of bonus prints, many of which were redrawn and updated. Available for this edition, 3D PDF files allow the instructor and/or student to perform dynamic turn, tilt, rotate, zoom, etc... Also, there are many STL files available for 3D printing parts that match the prints. These are marketed through the instructor resource kit, but are available by request directly from the author. My email is available in the front of the book, and comments and clarifications on the book and answer key are always welcome.
