I got this for my son's lacrosse team, so they could blast music at practice. They also use it on the bus going to games and on the sidelines before games to get hyped up. They're loving this powerful little speaker. Their coach especially loves the microphone that it came with. It's perfect for calling all the boys off the field during practice. It's exactly what they needed. When I started looking for a speaker, I wasn't sure which size and wattage to get. I wanted to get them something lightweight, but that had good sound and didn't need a power source. This covers all of my wants. It hardly weighs anything and is extremely portable. It has wheels so you can use the extendable handle to pull it behind you or there is a hand hold on the top of the unit for carrying it. I love that the unit is rechargeable. Now we don't have to worry about having a power source available. Mine arrived charged and ready to go, which was really nice. The battery lasts between 2.5-3 hours, which is plenty for what they need. It has a battery level indicator, so you always know when you need to recharge. I heard it at practice last week and was surprised at how much power is packed into this one little speaker. The 12" subwoofer and 1" tweeter put out really good sound. There are multiple ways to play music with the different input options. There are USB flash drive & micro SD readers, so you can play music like you would from a MP3 player. You can connect an aux cord and attach to an external device, like your laptop. Or the easiest way is to pair it with your phone through Bluetooth and stream all your music from the apps on your phone. I didn't realize this model had LED lights, so we were surprised and excited when we were playing with buttons and they turned on. The boys are absolutely loving this speaker and it's worth every penny. I loved this one so much that I bought the 15 inch model for my house. I can't wait to use it at our next movie night.

update: so I open the speaker to attempt to fix it myself because I'm not sending it back waiting six l weeks for a refund it's not worth my time but anyway the large magnet is not attached to its large speaker so only the small Tweeter is working this is not damage that happened during shipping. this damage was present when they acquired it cuz it was a used item so they did not test it before they sold it. it said like new on the add. there's nothing like new about it. scam

It's loud and I have run it for 8 hours a day for 3 days and the battery is still good.update after a year running in a dusty ass weld shop. The battery is finally giving up

When I received the PYLE portable bluetooth radio speaker I first turned the radio on and most all stations I listen to were static, not a good reception no matter where I moved the boombox, so Started looking at others radio boombox and found an ION Portable radio speaker which is a little more expensive but I would much rather have the more expensive vs. the PYLE Boombox. Please kindly respect my want, like I said the one that I really want is more money so no money lost. Thank You,Kim

This is just the ticket. Light, portable and easy to use.

Purchased to use as a mic/Speaker set up for swim meets. Like other reviews, the microphone did not work well and had a loose connection in the actual speaker causing the mic to cut out while speaking.It worked well as a Bluetooth speaker to play music.
