The product has a fairly accurate and specific description which helped in choosing it for purchase, the price is also fair, this item is exactly as advertised, nothing more nothing less, when trying to install at first I thought it was the wrong part, I couldn’t figure out how to make it work, even with the proper instructions mind you, it’s actually pretty simple and it does work!

Fit my 2005 Mercedes CLK500. They are fine for the regular open position. For the second full up position they are too long. The red button is below the hole so it won't lock. The second position is not used very often so not worth returning. I also like that the regular position is a bit more open since they are longer.Boxi has a set that is 20.67 long. It will work with the second position and is the proper length.

10/12/2019. Just installed these on a 2003 MB C240 4MATIC as support on the original was gone. Installation was pretty simple about 10 minutes. Once done it proved its worth immediately. Hood support is functioning as before. Next is a matter of it having longevity...Price and relatively simple installation has saved me a ton.

Bought these for my 2002 Mercedes C230 Kompressor Coupe. Price and availability were certainly better than if I went with OEM parts. Since the car is 19 years old, I'm not worried about OEM, just wanted something that fits and works. The listing said they would fit my vehicle. Well the threaded mounting stud on one end was the wrong thread. But it was close enough that I was able to "force" it by threading it into the plastic mating part and just letting it cross-thread/make its own threads. This would have been fine with me - again it's an old car so for the price of these parts I could live with that. However, the overall length is too long. So they work "fine" in normal opening/closing of the hood; but now you can't put the hood in what Mercedes calls "service mode". Service mode is a really nice feature where you can open the hood farther than normal, so it is basically vertical, allowing more light and more access when working underhood. I can no longer do this due to the incorrect design of these BOXI lift supports. Disappointing.

Got these delivered today and installed in about five minutes. And -- Hallelujah! -- the hood stays up again!These were priced right and appear to be OE quality. I'm planning to order a spare pair for the next time the hood starts to sag a little.2002 W203 Mercedes Benz C240 Sport.

Thank god this was an easy switch. I did the job with a leatherman and bare hands, at night, I used the box these came in to prop the hood as i did the work. I changed the passenger side only. Since the hood works now I will keep the other for next time.Took no more than 8 minutes, without any prior knowledge as to what to expect. Highly recommended.This was on a w209 benz.
