I was a bit disappointed that a bunch of these patterns require a large hexagonal clear pegboard which I do not have, but the patterns are fun and cute. Some of the patterns that have interlocking parts are hard to assemble once ironed, but I'm sure with practice you can figure it out. Cute patterns and great for having kids practice following directions.

My daughters love to do crafts, and they love Perler Beads! We can spend hours together sorting the beads, finding patterns, beading the patterns, and then playing with our new beaded friends.I was happy to discover this pattern book. It has 110 patterns for the large, clear pegboards. The advantage to these patterns is that the boards fit directly over the pattern so that they can see through the board directly on to the design. The book is also spiral-bound, so it sits carefully flat to make and keep the board straight.These designs also include three dimensional effects like a stand to make the bicycle stand up, slats so that you can actually wear the funny glasses, stands for the teapot and teacup, and stands for your playground essentials - slide and seesaw. These added dimensions make for a more fun, more interactive finished product for playing. Doing the craft is only half the fun! Playing with the finished product should be fun, too, and that is what this pattern book really brings to life.Patterns are suitable for both boys and girls - birds, kites, trees, plants, bugs, a lion, a zebra, a hippo, a whale (we made this one first, and it came out terrific!), barnyard animals, racing car, train, and a space scene.I would recommend this craft for kindergarten through third grade. It makes a great birthday gift along with a big package of beads!

Gift for my niece, she spent hours making these designs!

I got this book with several other Perler Products and this is a FANTASTIC starter book. There are fun, easy patters for kids.Both Girls and Boys would like these patters and there are a ton that appeal to both.I like the fact this book is spiral-bound so it lays flat and we can place our pegboard trays right over top. These pattern size fit the large pegboards.
