BOSCH BC1539 QuietCast Premium Ceramic Disc Brake Pad Set - Compatible with Select Scion FR-S; Subaru BRZ, Crosstrek, XV Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy, Outback; Toyota 86; FRONT

I put these on my Subaru Impreza and they were exactly like the OEM. I saved my OEM brakes after they lasted 100k miles. Then the next set of pads only lasted 50k and they were more expensive than these Bosch. The pads were exactly like OEM and the hardware was as well. It came with the Lubricant so it made it easier to just open the box and install these. Currently they make no noise but even the OEM used to make noise so I don't know if the pads are great at reducing noise. 5 stars because they were perfect for my car, just like OEM, but I'll come back if they don't last close to 100k or if they start making noise. Same can be said for front and rear pads. BC1539 for front and BC1114 for rear.

Good Pads, I installed these on my 2012 Impreza about 2000 miles ago. They have good stopping and have returned my braking performance back to where I believe that it needs to be. These were installed with new rotors (matching Bosch QuietCast) and haven't had any complaints. They burnished in quickly and I am pleased. The only complaint that I would have for them is that they are different than pictured ( pics attached). I'm not deducting a start because the shims and fit that came with the pads have provided good performance. The design of the shim is closer to a OE design than was pictured, and if lubricated properly shouldn't have any noise issues.

Fit perfectly. Strong, noise-free performance so far. Very little brake dust, unlike previous set from different big name manufacturer. Barely year later and while they still remain low dust, they are squeaking relentlessly. Had my mechanic check if they were worn. Nope. They’re good. Installed the included hardware during replacement. Squeak at low speeds as I’m stopping. Unsure of cause. Never had pads do that. Very irritating.

Unfortunately, I wasted my time and money with these pads on my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek. The shims do not match Subaru OEM shims and do not make full contact with the caliper pistons (inner side) or caliper fingers (outer side) causing poor braking feel, braking performance, and brake noise. See attached picture to see how the pistons clearly don't match the shims which prevents full contact being made with the brake pad. Garbage! Ended up throwing these out in favor of OEM pads after a couple months of poor pedal feel, noise at low speeds, and poor braking performance. Don't be like me. I didn't "buy nice" so I "bought twice". Oh well, turns out you shouldn't pinch pennies when it comes to something as important as brakes.

The ceramic disc brakes are excellent, but is to longer to receive the pad.
