Work on DC, but are directional
Seem to be solid on the accessory (AC) power connections. I also wanted to upgrade some lighted passenger cars. In this case the LEDs only work if the car is rotated to match the polarity of the direction.. but if you hit "reverse" the lighting will not work. I also have one car that flickers badly (I'm using 2 strips of LED's per car). Still debugging that one. It is fine without an engine on the track, but flickers badly once the engine is added.Probably fine for lighting buildings (which is what I plan to do with the left-overs).This is less a critique of the product itself (which works as designed) and more a caution for those who want to use for train lighting.

Great affordable LED solution for train set
I have the Woodland Scenics (WS) light system for my HO scale train set and as an alternative to their LEDs, I tested this 10-pack and it worked great. The only thing you need are the connectors that go into the WS light hub. I highly recommend them as they are much more affordable option and can be dimmed to your liking. Also, be careful when you splice them as the wires are very delicate.

Exactly as expected
I like that they are small enough to fit where I will eventually put them. I am making a custom of one of the dash panels in my PU. Have made a rubber mold of panel then will pour into it a mixture of semi flexible plastic with some emerald coloring. Then put the LEDs behind the new panel with a rocker switch that has built in emerald lights, I’m going to use it for emerald green LED Fog Lights I’ve already installed. Pictures to follow.

work great
I am using these strips for lighting buildings on my O gauge train layout. They work great with the adhesive strips and give great light with little disruption to the scenery, such as large wiring, etc.. They work great replacing the night light size fixture and cord in the Christmas town type buildings I am using, as they have low heat and power usage. Very happy with the product.

Work Great!
I purchased these to put into a deck globe that had a weak solar light. My initial test proved that they do work on 12 VAC, which is the voltage for deck lighting. I am planning on using several in the globe.
