Djeco Jewelry Making Kit, Beads and Hearts

We just bought one of these at Barnes and Noble on clearance for a total of $6.75, the regular price was $23.95 (not worth that I think), so we got a great deal but this Amazon price of $13.74 is also a good price I think for what you get. I wish now we had bought the second one B&N had at $6.75 and hung on to it for the next birthday party the kids are invited to. Anyway, my daughter, 9 years old, used her own money to buy this. We opened it up yesterday and dug into it. The back of the box (I uploaded a photo) has lots of nice ideas shown in full color, then there is a booklet included that has numbered line drawings with no written instructions of more things to make though it seems to me that a lot of what they show in the book is is not from this kit :( The large pendant shown comes on a long chain and it is quality base metal and can be worn as is which is nice, though my daughter is going to do what they show with the ribbon bow addd to it. She chose to do a necklace from the booklet that showed something her kit dod not come with, a flower shaped piece, so I used some of the 1/8 ribbon from her kit and made three 6 loop bows for her to use instead and she is very happy with it. There are also two other quality base metal charms and it comes with lots of beads. We got the Crayola Jewel Maker and it came very few beads, five necklaces and they are gone but we still have more gel stuff, and the string it came with was gone after three necklaces, but this Djeco kit comes with 5 different strings, three 1/8 ribbon, one elastic cord, and one fabric coated elastic cord, the two different cords are enough for more than one necklace that's for sure, we used all the red ribbon on the flowers. This kit strikes me as a little bit more grown up than a lot of jewelry making kits we've seen and used which seem fine for maybe up a 6 year old, this one is better for tweens, and I like that, and so does my daughter. The little containers the beads come in are reusable too and my daughter already has plans for them when the beads are all used up. When I ant to write this review my daughter concurred that it is definitely a "love" or 5 stars.

Super pretty but the elastic is so stretchy that is useless!
