Quilled Flowers: A Garden of 35 Paper Projects Paperback – March 6, 2012

The media could not be loaded.  This book is great for beginners and advanced alike. I am new to quilling but I have been able to create some really pretty things and not feel like they are screaming "A newbie made me!"

Congratulations to Alli Bartkowski, the author of "Quilled Flowers: A Garden of 35 Paper Projects". She has done it again folks, written another great quilling book. Whether you are new to quilling or experienced, this is a must have book for your quilling library.If you have always wanted to try quilling, Alli will take you through all the steps on how to make the individuals shapes, that will be used in the making of the flowers, what tools you need, and how to use them. Her tutorials for the projects she has created are so easy to follow. You can use these flowers in so many different ways, (even jewelry) and Alli will show you just how you can use them.I'm looking forward to making all of the flowers in this book.  Quilled Flowers: A Garden of 35 Paper Projects Thank you Alli

This is my first book on quilling, I usually just find patterns online or the library (not many to choose from) and give it a try. I was looking for more instruction to up my skills instead of "winging" it. I am so excited about this book! Pages 6 thru 20 give a nice introduction, quilling basics, materials, tools, techniques, basic quilled shapes and basic quilled scrolls. The next 107 pages are 35 beautifully photographed projects. Each project tells you what you need, the quilling shapes you'll be doing, what you do and templets of actual size for each shape along with many pictures showing great details from different angles.The way this book is written and photographed it would be ideal for almost any level of quilling, espically beginners.This is an absolutely wonderful quilling book!

Love the book full of great ideas

This quilling book is hard to find.it has great flower patterns and seem to be easy to follow. The customer service was great. They responded to questions about tracking. I was able to see where it was after it came into the US. When the book arrived, it was safely wrapped in a book box and not thrown into a large box. This kept it from getting damaged.

I've been awaiting for this book to be released and after receiving it yesterday, I can already say it's amazing! I've been quilling for several years and love the way it enhances my greeting cards, but THIS goes way beyond cards. The flowers and projects in this book look just beautiful. Paper is my passion and whatever you can do with paper intrigues me. I've recently started making paper beads and jewelry and this book even has beautiful jewelry to make with quilled flowers. I'm just itching to start a project using the book! Oh, if only there were more hours in a day!!! For anyone who quills, this is a book far beyond all others!

One of the best quilling books I have. It’s not super easy flowers but I did notice most petals were a combo of 5-6 marquis wrapped.

My absolute favorite Quilling book to date! The pictures of the finishes projects are beautiful, the instructions and helpful hints are also clear and concise. I have made wonderful cards and pictures that are now framed art in the homes of friends. The measurements of paper you need to use as well as suggested colors, really make the finished piece pop. If I could only own 1 Quilling book, this one would be it.

Dieses Buch ist für mich das beste Grundlagenbuch in meiner Sammlung, auch wenn es nur Blumen bespricht.Erklärung zu Material und Werkzeugen, deren Anwendungen und Möglichkeiten. Übersicht über die einzelnen Formen mit Bildern, Namen und Herstellungstechnik. Interessante kleine Tricks und Kniffe, z.B. auch zum Färben des Papiers.Die einzelnen Blumentechniken sind reich bebildert beschrieben. Sie werden in Übersicht und Nahaufnahmen aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln gezeigt und sind eine solide Grundlage zu eigenen Projekten.Liebevolle kleine Beispiele für Verwendung und Umsetzung, farbenfroh und für jeden Geschmack ist etwas zu finden.Für Anfänger mit Englischkenntnissen in meinen Augen das ideale Buch für die eigene Blumenpracht in Papier.

This book is well worth the price! It has clear instructions and detailed pictures of finished project. It is a well done resource for your quilling library. If I had one critique, it would be I would have liked to see more advanced work for scrolling and layouts, but really that is minor - it is a great book as it is.

this is a lovely book for quillers who like to quill different types of flowers. i recommend this book for easy techniques .
