Working great on 2017 iMac so far.
So far it's worked great on my 2017 iMac running macOS 10.13. Speeds seem pretty dang fast, I came from a G-Dock ev Thunderbolt 2 which may actually be a little bit faster – I am just using JBOD so I can't comment on the RAID.One note, it seems as of now that if you remove one drive in JBOD it will drop both drives and reinitialize them (not reformat), they just need to be mounted again. Kind of annoying.

Unstable, therefore totally useless. Avoid.
I bought this to dump footage from my cameras on shoots. It will disconnect from my pc halfway through transfers intermittently. Has weird issues where it will disconnect the drives on and off… this makes this device worthless and actually cost me a lot of time on set because I couldn’t walk away and trust that a hard drive dock does the one singular job it needs to.Just buy the 10$ usb 3.0 sata cables, I’m back to using mine with no issues. Wish I could return this.

Hard to remove the SSD Drives
This is really a great unit, the unit itself is very heavy which gives me confidance in longevity. The speed is execilent although I do use a different USB-C Cable han the one that came with it.I am using it in JBOD Mode using one slot for several thousand pictures and the other as a perminant time machine drive. I have had no problems with it at all.HOWEVER after I put an SSD into a slot, removing that SSD requires a lot more energy than I have experianced with other SSD Docks. When I put an SSD into a slot, when I go to remove it I need to pull so hard that I am worried that I will break something. I have been considering returning it and getting a replacement for that reason. So even with this problem I am giving it 4 stars since it works really well.

A Little Buggy on the Eject
Seems well built and all, but keep getting warnings every time I eject one of the cards (running in JBOD). A little quirky and not very confidence inspiring, especially when the data on the card is valuable. Going back!

Nicely designed product, tested with USB 3.1 Gen 2 Speed
True 10Gbps, USB 3.1 Gen 2 speed. With a USB 3.1 Type-C cable, blakbird is able to transfer data at around 600MB/s.Rigid bend metal enclosure, very solid feel.Overall speaking, very good product.

Great at first; dead in a month
I was a satisfied purchaser for about a month of occasional use. Today I noticed my external SSD was no longer mounted. Spent half an hour troubleshooting, the end result of which was that the Blackjet VX-2SSD gave no indication of life when connected to multiple different computers and power strips. Tentative conclusion (hope) is that the included AC adapter has gone bad. Will try replacing with a different wall wart with matching (5V, 4A, 20W max) specs.

Fast and quiet, feel reliable so far
Quite easy to install as I experience initial slotting in a drive encounter some difficulties, but once it is inserted is all working fine.

RAID 0 performance that allows your SSD performance to surpass the 540MB/s limit
The enclosure is quite heavy for the small size. When you place it on a desk, it will not fall off.RAID 0 performance and the transfer rate is actually utilizing the full USB C gen 2 capability. However, I am only giving 4 star because the bundled USB C cable only supported 480Mbps link. It only snowed 48MB/s. I had to use a separate Belkin USB C cable to have the part connect to the host PC in 10Gbps link. After the link issue was solved, it actually showed over 560MB/s transfer rate with my old SSDs. I am sure the new SSDs in the market will show much faster transfer rate.Pros:- you can pull off the SSDs any time you want.- very sturdy quality enclosure- RAID0 performance to go beyond 450MB/s cap of USB 3.0 enclosuresCons:- bundled with low quality USB C 'looking' cable- for many SSDs, it will not operate properly without the DC power adapter
