While the crimping tool doesn't seem to be particularly sturdy, it is easy to use. While it is a bit stiff when using, the MC-4 connectors produced are solid and look professional. I would buy this again and would recommend this tool over trying to use pliers, etc.

Being new to solar, I have made mistakes along the way. I started with a cheaper crimper to make-up MC4 cables. That one didn't work at all. Some products on the market simply will not do the tasks that they are sold for even when they get favorable reviews. This one is just GREAT. Sturdy, well engineered and makes perfect crimps every time. I am now confident that I can make-up MC4 solar cables without a second thought. What more can I ask for? Just lovin it! (I think that my enthusiasm may be due to my previous experience and frustration with an inferior crimper)

Just installed 2 solar panels on my rv. First time doing solar and wanted perfect connections on my mc4 connectors. These did a great job. Good price too.
